SexLab Defeat Help

It is probably me misreading the instructions, but after a few times, I can't seem to get it it work.

 

I can kill a NPC by pressing action key, but I can't knock out a NPC.

 

 

I can also mark a follower, and mark the target. But I can't make the follower knockout the NPC and have sex with the NPC. Must the NPC be hostile?

Hum, it's possible there are other features i don't know, but afaik you (or somebody else) has to fight an NPC first. There is a chance that they will go into bleedout state, means dropping on one knee. Then you can press the button to tie & rape them.

I'm 95% sure that works for sleeping NPCs too, if you crouch. It might work if you crouch in their back and stay unnoticed, not sure. I'm using defeat usually to get raped, not to do the work myself.

That's just luck, most often... use a weapon (or shield) that doesn't do too much damage to increase chances. Or fight an essential NPC.
