Japanese font in an English game

Hi first time poster and modder. I've been learning how to mod through building a follower mod with quests and whatnot, but the point of my post is adding Japanese font to my game that's in English. I have the Windows language pack and can type in Japanese 日本語 no problem, and I know how to make Skyrim have Japanese voices with English text, but I don't want this. I want to keep the core of the game in English but be able to read Japanese rather than having the boxes displayed in place of moonspeak "ロロロロロロ" I have a few asian made mods and only get the boxes displayed for the names of items, and the mod I'm building has a lot of relation to Japanese culture so I'd like to use some Kanji/Kana instead of all romanji for the names and idioms.

 

So does anyone know who to achieve this? I've tried downloading the Japanese language version (through steam) and saved the interface.bsa (along with the voices if I wanna use 'em later). I extracted the font_jp.swf and tried to add it to the fontconfig.txt, but I really don't know what I'm doing here. Also, I want to be able to type these things out in the CK, but when I type in Japanese it just replaces the characters with "?" and I don't want the entire interface in Japanese as only know a couple handfuls of Kanji by heart.

OK, I found a solution that works for me, but I'm not so sure if I release it, it'll work for others. What I did was download the Japanese version through Steam and extract fontconfig.txt & fonts_jp.swf & Translate_ENGLISH.txt. I just put them in Data/Interface and it does what I want. All of the text is in English except for the Asian characters, it should be noted that the English font does seem a bit off, like it's more straight lines and blocky. In order to input Japanese I used sseTranslator.

 

I'm open to other methods if anyone has 'em

 

 

I have another issue, in my mod. My custom race won't change race correctly. I downloaded New Companion Spell Polymorph Horse by darren83 and went off of alot of its scripts and structure to create a similar effect except; transforms target into a Fox and activated through dialogue. The issue is, it won't work on my custom race. Post
