How to use Auto Save?

Hi, I lost 2 hours of process yesterday night and am wondering why the Auto Save feature barely works. (Saved 2 hours ago at the same time I saved.)

Is there a way to set it up? Or should I use an Auto Save mod instead? (Which one actually works?) How do you use Auto Save?

Does Whicked Whims have any influence on this?

It states that "save is saved periodically while the user is playing", but then it states "NOT during gameplay", so yeah, not very helpful.

 

You do need to use a mod, but I don't know of any working one.

Deaderpool's MCCC has a good autosave feature among it's many features.  It's configurable so you can set it to save at pretty much any interval.  MCCC and WickedWhims work well together too.
