Kain82 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Hi, I've installed SOS on my fairly new pc, and when I go in game my character is always hard. I've always installed SOS on many pc's and they are always flaccid first then hard, but this time the character is always erect before and after sex. I use the regular schlong size if that helps. I've also used FNIS to see if that would fix it but no, same problem. When installing SOS NMM asks to overwrite the skeleton to which I say no, since I use the latest XPMSE skeleton. Can that be the problem?

Does Hitting N key do anything? if you have aroused mod make sure you check that enable for sos is clicked in the McM menu or another mod perhaps?

I also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the XPMSE skeleton and still have the same problem.

RedMB Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I know this is going to sound a bit off but I would switch to Mod Organizer. The fact that it doesn't actually overwrite anything and you can shuffle the filed however you want and actually see which file would overwrite which, is just superb. Anyway, XPMSE should always be on top - install it after SOS or any other mod that modifies skeletons (like Joy of perspective or Realistic Ragdolls and Force, which I think is requirement for SOS). Just to make sure, is it hard like actually erect and pointing up, or hard as stuck in the default horizontal position?

It's not just the order of ESPs, it's about the order in which you install the mods, in other words - overwriting the files. Scripts can mess your gameplay a lot too, sometimes, when I load a game, my dongs are stuck in the default pose too, reloading game solves the problem. Is it only your character that's stuck in the default pose, or everyone? Might be some custom race issue. Do you happen to have a Papyrus log? Some say it's useless, but as far as scripting goes, it will help. That and using MO. Edit: Just to add what solved my very similar problem some time ago along with the tools above - TES5Edit and save edit.

The fact that it doesn't actually overwrite anything and you can shuffle the filed however you want and actually see which file would overwrite which, is just superb. Anyway, XPMSE should always be on top - install it after SOS or any other mod that modifies skeletons (like Joy of perspective or Realistic Ragdolls and Force, which I think is requirement for SOS). Just to make sure, is it hard like actually erect and pointing up, or hard as stuck in the default horizontal position? I use NMM since I find MO confusing. But I've never encountered this problem. I made sure I installed SOS first and then XPMSE, but still the same problem. My characters schlong is pointing straight ahead. It doesn't bend up or down, which is awkward for some sex scenes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both SOS and XPMSE, but same problem. That's a lot of mods that potentially change the skeleton, also lots of scripts. It's not just the order of ESPs, it's about the order in which you install the mods, in other words - overwriting the files. Scripts can mess your gameplay a lot too, sometimes, when I load a game, my dongs are stuck in the default pose too, reloading game solves the problem. Is it only your character that's stuck in the default pose, or everyone? Might be some custom race issue. Do you happen to have a Papyrus log? Some say it's useless, but as far as scripting goes, it will help. That and using MO. Edit: Just to add what solved my very similar problem some time ago along with the tools above - TES5Edit and save edit. 1) The XPMSE mod is always the last mod I install overwriting the SOS skeleton. 2) I try not to run any script heavy mods all at once. 3) I have not checked npc's but my character is a vanilla Orc, my second character is a vanilla Dunmer with the same problem. The Dunmer uses the Elven Ethereal Overhaul mod, and I know that's not the problem. 4) I don't know what a papyrus log is? 5) I tried using MO but found it too confusing. I've used the same mods on NMM on my old computer and SOS worked well. Can it be a WIndows 10 thing? Thanks for your reply.

I have not tried save game cleaner, but my problem starts as soon as I start a new game, after character creation. As for TES5Edit, I have that program and only know how to clean dirty plugins. Kain82 Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 So I fixed the problem. When I uninstalled SOS it left behind to corrupted folders. One in the meshes section and the other in the textures section. Since I couldn't delete files in the program files (86) section, due to windows 10. I downloaded a program called "Lock Hunter" it let me delete the offending folders, and I was able to reinstall correctly. Now my character is not hard all the time. It bends up and down, it's flaccid when not in use, and it gets hard when needed. Anyway just wanted to post my results in case anyone has the same problem.
