Hello guys, I have been playing the Gothic series lately and one thing particularly took my interest in those games. In cities even if you fight with a weapon you knock people out instead of killing them, you can kill them with extra effort tough. I think a similar aproach would enchance Skyrim as well. Inside the cities npcs should be knocked out instead of dying, similar in a way players does with death alternative mod. Then player can pick an option from knocked out menu to kill them if its necesarry. This way guards don't have to meddle with everysingle fight, we can add taunts or duel options through dialogue, and get rid of the need of brawl features in some of the sexlab mods. People may try to attack you at night for killing/robing/raping the player without you worrying to kill them off for it. Maybe this would allow things ilke huge mobs attacking you for your side at war, race or maybe choosing wrong sides in quests and such (Would work great with the evil quests Vinfamy is working on) and create more potential for both sexual and non sexual mods. Closest I found to this was Npc knock out overhaul which works fine for intended purpose but fails to integrate with most mods here. So working for something in here may get more useful.

 

Making this mod would probably be quite easy, so here is a few more things can be done to enchance it. Law Affinity Stat: How much guards are willing to save you if you get in the troube, or how willing are they to look the other way if you create trouble. Seperately calculated with each city similar to bounties. Increases by general political influence, quests you complete for right people, how much the important people likes you, well placed "donations". Decreased by racial stereotypes, crimes, side you take for the war etc. A karma sytem similar to Fallout, in which causing troubles in the cities drop your karma and helping people in the cities raises it. Used for non/guard npcs but may be put to slightly influence Law affinity as well. For example you can bribe your way through law and keep making trouble and Npc's can still hate you for it. This may allow mob attacks ending in other results than death in cities. This can also be used to create "bad" part of towns where guards dont interfere with anything at all (Similar to Gothic again.) which would cause more options.

I don't understand why you would want to get into a fight with townspeople or guards, but there is a mod called stealth overhaul that will let you knock people out from stealth.

Is there a specific stealth overhaul you are talking about or is it just called stealth overhaul? I didn't find anything called that on the Nexus.
