Frequent crashes

I'm experiencing frequent crashes at a mammoth poaching camp to the west of Whiterun (I don't remember the name of the camp). it only happens when I get within a certain distance of the camp. I'm pretty sure it's being caused by some object loading into the game, I just don't know what object it could be because I can't get close enough to it to see what it is.

Where do I find the logs, or how do I generate logs?

Logs are usually in "My documents/My games/Skyrim/Logs". They show the lasts scripts that were running when your game crashed.

Yeah, I didn't even know about this. Whatever it does though (didn't really read what it does), it seems to have fixed the issue I was having, also I noticed that the hud and I think the game its self seems to load up a little faster now. Thank you for pointing this out.

 

When I was finally able to load everything up, it turns out that a mammoth and two giants were making an assault on the camp, and that's what was causing the game to crash. I have had the game crash for other reasons though, a corrupted mesh or something along those lines which is why I though that might be the case this time around.

Ok, so that IS where the logs are. Fortunately though, I apparently didn't need them in this case as the problem has been resolved.
