drblackapple Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Hello! Thanks for taking the time to check out my post. I've been working all weekend and I have finally gotten my game to the point where I think it looks very good. So recently I've became more and more interested in being able to record and maybe even make some YouTube videos with my game's new look. I was wondering how to do a few things: - Slowly pan camera (evenly) - I know about the command "tfc" but it is way too fast for me! - Center the camera on my player and/or NPC's - Slowly pan Camera around my player while they are moving. If you know how to do all or any of these things please let me know how. I have basic understanding of console commands like tm, tfc, tcl, etc. Thanks!

Akzyra Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 As for smooth camera movement: This software seems to be something in the right direction. At the bottom is the old free version. For 'free' camera while walking, I would use Immersive First Person View (IFPW). The character movement is locked into the direction you are walking walking. You can't turn with the mouse, it is only for camera while the buttons is hold. WASD works normally but is rather sharp movement. My Setting (I rebound walking): ; ALT Key (See comments at top of the config file for a link to all keycodes) !bindkey2 0x12 0 "TurnFreeLookOn" !bindkey2 -0x12 0 "TurnFreeLookOff"
demack Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Best recording software I have found is Open Broadcaster. It is streaming but setting the bit rate (I'm using 8K bit) high gives very good results with very little performance hit. I use it exclusively and sometimes stream to Twitch. For scene edit processing TEncode is fantastic and Wondershare Filmora is great for packaging it. You can make full blown movies with this setup. I use a custom camera I made which you can find here.
