ger4 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 I want to age a HGEC skin texture in gimp/photoshop, but don't know where to start. Are there any good tutorials for this kind of thing? Ideally, I'd be able to create a transparent texture layer that has wrinkles and can pe placed on top of any HGEC texture to age it. Cheers
junkacc Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Get the gimp-dds plugin and follow the instructions. https://code.google.com/archive/p/gimp-dds/downloads

gregathit Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 You might steal a peak at some of the vanilla game assets as they have "aged" textures in there. Basically you are adding age lines/wrinkles. As with most types of art, it is not exactly easy to do. I suck at even the most basic of texture editing. GIMP is pretty easy to use, but hard to master.
