help with go to school mod

i shouldnt have to say this but- im sure people that have this mod know the mod authors blog is dead and every help topic i can find on it is a year or more old and nothing is answered. ive seen people here talk about it so i decided to try here for help since they also say the mod still works.

 

with that being said-

i have the mods newest ver i can find which is v4

i have the venue mod it says it needs

i have a high school that was made specifically for this mod

i go into manage worlds

pick a lot

go into build mode

build school from gallery

set lot type to "high school (old version)" which is the only high school lot type i get (also only get "old version" for elementary school)

play my teen sim

sim goes to school like normal and i get no option to follow

 

i have read the 3 lines in the "help" section on the mod page that say about changing the lot type to something else and then changing it back- tried it. i have tried different schools. i have tried remaking my sim back to day 1 of teen. i have tried building the school straight from the manage worlds screen. still doesnt work. i d/lded and ran mod conflict detector- no conflicts.

 

im running v1.25 and i dont play online

I think the mod won't work with newer versions of the sims. It worked a while ago when the game was really an older version. I tried that "updated school mod v4 too" and it won't work, newer venue files are not found anywhere, those should be included in v4 (or at least download link) too but they are not. Too bad, this was one of the best mods available, more like a expansion to the game.

people with the newest ver of the game say it still works. i played around with it for 2 days and still cant get it to work. from what i can see on the site i got it from ( http://simscommunity.info/social/resources/go-to-school-mod-pack.44/ ) the only ver available to d/ld says it was uploaded on dec 9 2016 and there was an update after that on jan 14 2017 but i cant find it anywhere. i have a feeling when he killed his tumblr he killed every working ver of the mod cause everywhere the mod was posted links back to his tumblr which links to the site i posted. if anybody has a working newer ver can you please send it to me?

omfg it works, thanks. theres only 1 teacher in my entire school though. is that how its supposed to be? he picks a podium in 1 of the classes and just stays there teaching (i guess) untill the day is over. i dont think the podium works for me either. i clicked on the attend class option and my sim wouldnt do it. o well. i can still do the other shit though. not like theres enough time to really do alot anyway

well i seem to have figured out my podium problem. i was blocked from interacting with the teacher on the 1 podium in the entire school that the teacher decided to use and when i took it away he went to another 1 and it let me choose podium options on the teacher then. i had 1 in each classroom but apparently u only need 1 in the whole school (glad it said that any-freakin-where on the mod page). i removed all of them and just put 1 in the teaching hall/room, w/e u wanna call it, that had the most seating and now everything works perfectly

Glad that it is working for you.

 

The updated game 1.28.25.1020 has no working podium interaction and like you mentioned above, a patch update was done on Jan 14th on the official download page but the download V4 has all old files.

that sucks. i dont play online or have vampires and i dont care about toddlers so i refuse to update until all the mods i use catch up. id rather have all my mods work than get an update with shit i dont care about and lose 1/2 of them

seems like Zerbu is back in action but sadly hasn't seemed to updated the podium yet.  I hope there is a fix soon.

malbolzcha, if you happen to have a working podium, could you perhaps share your podium file/package? I've seen people looking all over the internet for a working podium, me included. It just resets my Sims whenever they try using it.

back again with this mod.  Everything seemed to be going good but has anyone else lost the ability to Gift Give during Winterfest Holiday?

I downloaded the venues package, but it doesn't give me the school options. Everything else is showing up such as the decals i need to use, but I can't set my building to a high school

So my venues pop up, but only in Sulani. I have a go to college pack installed as well and it lets me set up venues in different worlds. I'll take what I can get I guess
