zzyyxx Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 So I'm using a UUNP body with Racemenu sliders, and I'm trying to modify the body stocking (Carlotta) from the Luxury Collection UUNP sliders mod so that it doesn't use slot 32. I have it mostly working, but I'm stuck on one part. This is what I did. 1) I installed the mod 2) Ran bodyslide, making sure to check build morphs, armor appears correct and matches my body, including the UUNP morphs. 3) I then went into the CK and modified the armor so it uses slot 40, and used nifskope to modify the _0 and _1 nif so that it uses slot 40, the armor itself shows up fine, however since it's now a "nude body" (since I don't have a body slot equipped) and the armor's mesh includes a body, it obviously looks iffy. 4) I opened up outfit studio (load outfit) and deleted the layer/mesh (not sure the correct name) for the UUNP body, so the only meshes are the armor parts (and repeated the same process for the _1.nif). So now when i open skyrim I don't have the double body issue, but it looks like the data needed for the armor to morph to match the racemenu sliders is no longer kicking in and the armor doesn't match the modified armor (it clips into the body). I'm obviously screwing up something, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I did try coping the bone weights from the UUNP body layer to the chest (which is the layer that includes the majority of the armor nif) but that didn't seem to do anything. Any help? Edit: Nevermind, I got this working. I ended up creating a zap slider out of the body. I had tried following the tutorial but was doing things backwards. Everything is now working.

Pardon me but this is probably the 4th time I've heard of creating a zap slider in B&O Studio in all the 4 years I've been modding Skyrim. Could you tell me what exactly is that? How do you do it? And why is it needed? Thanks.

I followed this video to create them (it's for fallout 4 but the tools are more or less the same) Generally you create zap sliders because you want part of an outfit to appear/disappear when it's checked. A pretty good example would be in the FAQ in this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25259/? Most of those armors in that have certain parts that can be "zapped" away to make them appear/disappear in the final mesh. In some cases, it's the panty to make it skimpier, but in a few, you can switch between chest plate types by zapping chest 1 and unzapping chest 2 (toggling between a bikini or a more "normal" looking armor).
