Problem with the Cursed Collar quest (from deviously cursed loot)

A couple of days ago (many in-game hours) my player got a Cursed Collar and the quest started. I found Andratos' note and read it, but I wasn't too concerned with the collar yet, so I didn't go look for Andratos' notes just yet.

 

Today, I finally wanted to go solve the quest (after all, not wearing clothes 24/7 can get annoying, especially in fights). However, the quest was gone. It's not in my list of current quests, it's not in my list of quests I've completed, it's just gone.

 

I've tried using console commands (setstage, restartquest, etc) but none of them do the trick. Doing setstage dcur_cursedcollarquest 10 starts the quest, but I already have the note, and re-reading it doesn't complete the first step. Trying setstage dcur_cursedcollarquest 20 doesn't do anything - no error message, no success message, nothing.

 

I've run out of ideas on how to proceed with the quest, and google hasn't been helpful. Is their any way to get it working again, without me having to go back several irl-days of progress?

Can you not simply use the debug function "free me" in DCL to forcibly unequip and stop the collar, putting a definite end to it, then starting the quest again?

Two ways of starting the quest : random event calibrated in the mcm men, or in the fort near the western watchtower of whiterun, there's a collar in the prison.

my 2 cents I never stert the curse quest unstill I have my alteration up and mage armor rank 2, why oak flesh stone flesh, mage armor makes these spell stronger if not wearing clothes

you gotta love google. I had a problem and had no idea how to solve it until I saw this XD Anyway here is the problem I had so it might help someone else:

 

I got stuck with the Slut Collar so I was whoring myself around and eventually I got the cursed collar too, but the cursed collar couldn't get to my neck because I already got the Slut one. I talked to Eorlund and paid him to take off the Slut Collar that was great, but my fast travel was totally disabled and the Cursed Collar quest hadn't even started. I tried to get rid of that collar by putting it on Nivenor (sorry Niv) and then the quest started and my fast travel kept being disabled! It was driving my mad, I wasn't even wearing the collar so how was I going to get it off? But done now!!! 

 

And as I type this my character is so horny that she's masturbating with a soulgem while Isran and Aegmer watch because I've been typing this and letting her standing alone XD

Big question is if there's a way to progress without getting rid of the collar. I really want to try it but the whole thing is bugged for me. It's pretty infuriating.

I've got a different issue,  I've made it to Part 3, and I'm standing outside of Riften, where the next chest is, but every time I try to enter the city, I CTD.  (I had a similar problem when, after finding the first chest, I wandered too close to Morthal.  I fixed that by going the long way around.  But there's only one way to enter the city of Riften, and every time I try it, it crashes me to desktop.   Has anyone else had this issue?  And if so, how did you fix it?  Thanks in advance.
