Converting armor/clothes from one body type to another

I want to learn how to convert armors for different body types, but I don't have a clue where to start and I'm a total noob in Blender. I know I need Blender or 3dsmax and that they don't support .nif files, but that's about it. :s

Can anybody tell me what else is needed (if needed) and point me to some tutorials for conversions (preferably text ones, I don't have a nice Internet connection now :()?

Thanks in advance!

Well, not to kick you in the balls, but did you take a couple of minutes to even browse this section? You would have found all you are asking for and then some.

If using 3ds max, also look up the edit poly graphite modeling tools (push/pull, relax, shift, etc). Those tools can cut down your modding time several fold and I can literally do decent body conversions in 15 minutes now (that includes the postprocessing steps for NIFs).
