Kingdoms of Amalur - .BIG files packer/unpacker?

I was wondering if anyone has any experience unpacking & packing the .BIG files in "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning"? After about 3 days of searching on the Internet, I have not found any programs that could accomplish this. I suppose that the nature of the request could be adult-oriented given that the majority of mods that I've seen available for the game is adult-oriented (mainly nude re-skins of various races and objects with the occasional save game editor) but I am curious to see to what extent the .BIG files can be modded at all. Thank you.

Haven't played KoA in ages - nice combat but quests and voice acting did my head in. (Only mentioning that link because everbody's google searches seem to be personally tailored nowadays - so yours might have been different).
