Karukos Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I was watching a video from thenthapple about the Giants and his speculations on how they came to Skyrim, who they are and how smart they really are. One of the things he talked about in that video are their written language or their runes so to say that contain mainly of different kind of swirly things. However, at the same time I started to notice something when i started a new playthrough and came to the first Wall of Shouts in Bleak Fall Borrow. There I noticed something. Aside from the Dovazhul there are other signs on that in a quite distinct color. The same swirls the giant as seen in the time stamp of the video. So... What do you think? Why are there Giant runes on the Shout walls? And if the theory that giants came with Ysgramor to Tamriel, could that be a written form of old Akaviri language? Should be noted here, that this is just something I wanted to share with somehow and I kinda like this community more than reddit Skyrim... so you gotta bear with me!

Maybe cause you have a texture replacer? That is vanilla Skyrim. Look at the swirls going around on the side of the walls
Guest Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 And if the theory that giants came with Ysgramor to Tamriel, could that be a written form of old Akaviri language? I wonder how you linked these together, as Ysgramor came from Atmora, not Akavir.

Guest Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Someone on Reddit made a post theorizing that Nords are descended from Giants based on OOG lore written by MK.
