Game CTDs either by starting a new game, loading a current save game or if I manage to get in, CTDs anyways. Help me.

So I decided that since I got a new computer, I would reinstall Skyrim and mod the hell out of it (Again). So, I install a bunch of mods, and at first I would be able to start a new save (Had to anyways as I had no save files), then go through the Alternate Life start where I choose to be a part of the Stormcloak Rebellion and after a few minutes of being there after loading, the game would just crash. So I did the usual, disable mods in order from when the problems were first raised and then instead of fixing the issue, I started a new one. The game would at first not respond on start up, however EVERY time I would start a new game, 50 percent of the time I would get in and 50 percent I would not get in and CTD. I could not load a game. I seemed to fix the not responding issue but now the game just CTDs outright everytime I try anything. I'm out of options, I'm a seasoned and experienced guy who mods games all the time and when modding Skyrim among things usually ends up with these kind of issues. However, this time I was eager and impatient and skimmed along the lines of a few mod instructions. Entirely my fault, yes. My specs are pretty good too besides the CPU but I definitely could run this mod setup with my old computer with a GTX 750 and an i7 processor so I know it isn't my computer but I'll upload the modwatch details plus my specs plus any other things you require of me. Last time I had issues, the people over at Nexus helped me out about eight months ago and the problem maker ended up being a mod that I did not expect to cause issues. So, maybe it's that again?

Edit #1. The ENB I use is Superb ENB. For some reason, Modwatch still shows Tetrachromatic as the ENB I use despite having not used it in months now.

I'm not too sure what causes this but as far as I can tell it occurs when there's simply too much data to load, at least for me. It's happened to me when I have way too many script-heavy mods or a overly large game save file. One way I found to get around it is to use the "coc qasmoke" console command from the main menu to first load into the game, then load your save file from there. As I understand it this essentially 'preloads' game resource files and reduces the strain on the system when loading an actual save.

 

I should mention though that I don't know the actual cause, for all I know this may be an indication of a deeper issue with a mod or something but in my experience it isn't an incorrectly installed mod, for me that just breaks stuff ingame. For me this doesn't always occur, it happens occasionally, I'll use the console command and the next save I make after that might work just fine.

Technically there's already a preload save going on if he starts at the Alternate Start cell and loads onto heavier game zones from there, this looks like it might be something else.

Try loading TES5Edit and Wrye Bash. Those will point out any inconsistencies in your load order that would cause you to crash in their logs.

If you sorted by LOOT you might also want to sort manually from TES5Edit using the 'Apply filter to show conflict losers' option -- this'll show you any mods that interact with the same files and you can then manually move them around to make sure the changes go through properly. LOOT doesn't take into account any of the Sexlab mods or their dependencies.

The biggest culprit in CTDs like this is having two or more mods that conflict. Would you post your load order, please? That way, people who have had similar problems can see if you have anything that conflicts.

Yeah sure, I posted the Modwatch thing, that shows my load order. Also, one of the first things I did to contain the issue and what started the second issue was sorting with LOOT. But I'm getting to TESVEdit now and I have not tried Wrye Bash before. What is it?

Alright, there it is. I've used LOOT several times to no avail, and have disabled major culprits like Warzones, CWO, Inconsequential NPCs, and most of the mods on this list but not all together. I REALLY don't want to have to reinstall everything all over again but I will have had to exhaust every single option before that. I've had this issue before. I'm trying TES5Edit now to see what kind of files secrets await me.

So I checked TES5Edit and applied the filter for losers and all my freaking mods, esms, and DLC including Update.esm and Skyrim.esm are conflict losers while Legacy of the Dragonborn and CCOR is purple which means they are being treated as masters? What the hell am I looking at?

I am not sure, but I think WarZones and Civil War Overhaul might be conflicting. I tried running them together in the past and had CTDs. I have always had problems with Breezehome mods. King of Skyrim might be another.

 

Btw, my LOOT has consistently put Alternative Start: Live Another Life as the very last thing in my load order.

 

Don't know if those are the issues, but it may be worth checking.

So, I disabled Dyndolod and all the mods it accompanied and it seemed to work! I can get in a new game and create my character but as soon as I get into it, the game CTDs. What now?

 

Update: It reverted back to it's previous state after disabling most of my mods in the Skyrim, I have decided to completely reinstall Skyrim from scratch. Thank you for all you have done to help me, but I disabled all the mods that were either script heavy or mods I've had issues with in the past. This time, I'll be patient. (If it freaking works).

Something that I have seen happen with mine. When I add or remove mods, I will CTD one or more times, depending on how many I add. No idea why, but it stops CTDing after a few starts.
