Shadowhawk827 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I'm new to ENBs since I never had a PC that liked them till recently. Anyway, this will doubtless be a newbie question. So I have the latest version of ENBSeries ( v0.308 ) and I downloaded Realvision ENB, along with Climates of Tamriel and Enhanced Lighting and FX (the two required mods). Everything overall works great. Colors are vibrant, good frame rate, etc... I have one annoying issue (I won't call it a bug, yet) though. Long distances (like the mountains) and sometimes even medium distances will briefly blur out of of focus. This is usually when I first turn to face a new direction, but often after or while running a bit too. I've tried both the dynamic and static depth of field settings on RealVision with the same results. Is this a depth of field setting issue where I'd need to disable it to clear that up, is it a memory issue (I'm skeptical given the great performance otherwise), or is it just normal for the ENB? I've got a newer i5 CPU - 3.5ghz, 16gigs of RAM and a GTX960 4 gig video card. Oh and yes, I did remember to turn off the game's settings that would clash with the ENB (anti-aliasing, etc...)
Morferous Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 If you are using CoT V, then I trust that you are using RV version made for it and ENB 0.308? RealVision ENB for Climates of Tamriel V by Exalerion http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73661/? If you are having problems with DoF, then you can disable it by setting EnableDepthOfField=false from your enblocal.ini file in your Skyrim folder. Personally I never cared about ENB DoF. It is hard to manage. You might want to try DYNAVISION instead. Screenshots are very misleading, because they were taken with heavy Dynamic DoF settings, presenting the best (or worst) what can be done with it. * It has it's own MCM, where you can test different values for Dynamic or Static DoF. You can always change the type and strength of the DoF from MCM again. I am using Static DoF 0.8, which does not really blur things from a distance, but gives a nice slight focus to target. You can change them from MCM. What is really nice feature in DYNAVISION is that it allows you to set face to face speech DoF as well from MCM. Maybe 1.0, or something slightly higher than I am using in my own game.
