Guest Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 So many mods on the nexus now require USLEEP. But AFAIK the Legendary Edition of Skyrim is an all-in-one install that came out several years after the original game and its DLCs. Surely most people are still running on the original version, so why are so many mods switching over to requiring USLEEP? Its not like we can convert over to Skyrim LE, right? Or am I missing something?
Guest Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Legendary Edition is just Skyrim with all DLCs (Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.) If you miss one, you can still get it from Steam. As soon as you have all DLCs then you have the "Legendary Edition".
Morferous Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Yes. Legendary Edition is basically just very unfortunately named bundle. Same question is tossed around Steam forums all the time. It did not help at all that Bethesda named upgrade as a Special Edition.
Guest Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 But... The Legendary Edition patches aren't compatible with the basic edition with DLC. I've tried installing them and they don't work.
gregathit Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 They did for me. Thing of it is, you MUST have ALL the DLC. Not some. Not all but one. ALL of them. If you do, then the patches work fine. If you don't, then the patches won't work.
Guest Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I think the problem might have been that I tried to leave the old unofficial dlc patches in place when I tried to install USLEEP. Didn't realise it replaced all the patches. Now it works. [Edit: Actually, the game now crashes on the loading screen. Back to uninstalling USLEEP. I knew there was another problem]

Number of those mods should in really small. Does LOOT or xEdit give error, when you run your load order through them with USLEEP enabled?

I figured that was the case, but didn't know how to work out which ones use USKP. Also, I wasn't sure I'd want to abandon them just to use USLEEP (which I only wanted for Skyrim Jobs). I'm not familiar with LOOT or xEdit. I'll look into them.
Sneaksmile Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Legendary Edition is not only the last official patch for the Vanilla main game delivered by Bethesda? in which you can choose the final difficulty called precisely '' Legendary '' ???
Guest Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Legendary Edition is not only the last official patch for the Vanilla main game delivered by Bethesda? in which you can choose the final difficulty called precisely '' Legendary '' ??? No. It is the base game with the 3 official DLCs.
freddark Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I had previously try upgrading from USKP to USLEEP mid-game, and the game would not load (crashed before reaching the menu screen). Fully removing all USKP patches, installing USLEEP, and starting a new game worked. Happy modding.

Check section 5 from this post that is pinned in Steam Skyrim forums. All basic tool information and instructions are there. They also have a bunch of guides and tutorials added to same post. Usually it is good idea to check release date from Steam forum posts, but Coffee Room regulars actually post Change Logs. Post was just reviewed and updated, so everything in there should be up to date. http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/594821545176386165/

No. It is the base game with the 3 official DLCs. Obviously I was referring also to the 3 DLCs, but if you do not have the latest official patch you will not have the legendary difficulty
