dogmeat1 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Obviously Mature Skin works on all the NPCs but it's not applied to my own character (Temptress Race based preset ). Do I have to manually replace mesh/texture? 1. Using MO 2. More than 200 mods working without problems 3. 1st time playing a female character so wanted to use a good skin texture 4. Started a brand new character just to be sure 5. I just killed a female Stormcloak, and after seeing her naked, I know the texture works. 6. Yet my character's skin looks like plastic sheeeeet. HOW do you use skin textures to your own character?!
Kaz Aanh Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Most likely Temptress race uses a unique directory paths to textures, and mature-skin mod replaces only default stock-race textures. Doesn't work with custom races. You need to open that open mod, go to textures and paste them over. ( aka overwrite original temptress textures with mature skin ) Just make a backup of original files.
C5Kev Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 In addition to what Dagren said, yes, Temptress will have its textures in its own directory since it's a unique race. I use Lunari and textures are under "Textures / bhakti ". If you have TES5Edit, open Temptress.esp (I'm guessing) and look at the path(s) under ArmorAddon - or if a Temptress user here already knows, please let dogmeat1 know. Once you find out Temptress' directory (sorry, I don't know), place your femalebody_1.dds, femalebody_1_msn.dds, femalebody_1_s.dds ...as well as the hands, feet, head, maybe "brow" textures / normal maps, etc. in there, you'll be golden.
dogmeat1 Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Duh, yeah. You're absolutely right. I just made my own texture pack and wow, ENB brings out the ugly!. Thanks for your answer though.
