Queen Bee Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I guess after a while the new blood washes the old blood off. Â But on a kinder, gentler note, will there be pregnancy/children in this mod? If so, will they age?
Asariphile Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 I guess after a while the new blood washes the old blood off.  But on a kinder' date=' gentler note, will there be pregnancy/children in this mod? If so, will they age? [/quote']  Maybe in a much later version. I want to get the romance subplots down first.  If I was to have children I would use a "dominant vs recessive" approach instead of a "Race Hybred" approach. Meaning certain race's genes would overpower the others, which seems to be what Bethesda does alot in the lore. Example: The Grey Prince was a Half-Orc but virtually identical to a full blooded Orc. I am also pretty sure King Helseth is only Half-Dunmer but I could be wrong.   So this is how genes would work:  Elf\Human Hybred: Elf appearance and genes take dominance, you will always have elf children  Orc\Human Hybred: Orc genes are dominant  Dunmer\Other Elf: Dunmer Genes  Altmer\Bosmer: Altmer Genes  Orc\Elf: Orc Genes  Redguard\Other Human: Redguard (Skin tone slider prolly all the way left though)  Nord\Imperial or Breton: Nord  Khajiit: Can have sex with all but only reproduce with Khajiit  Argonian: Can have sex with all but only reproduce with Argonian  Custom Race\Vanilla Race: Vanilla Race(For ease, though might patch in some popular races like the Mystic Elves)
Kraxon Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Why not if A has sex with B the children could be A or B. Maybe in 50/50 ratio maybe orc or something is more dominant and the ration is 70/30 or something like that. Â Otherwise: If orc for example would be more dominant than other races, everybody would be orc in a coulple of hundred years. Â Also: The human genes should be always have a higher rate of dominance over the mer, since there are much more humans than mer and otherwise in a couple of hundred years everybody would be mer, since they live so long.
Queen Bee Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 With the Khajiit, perhaps you could include the beast race mod (with permission) so they look like a crossbreed.
jhondidfool Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 According to lore, the child is ALWAYS the race of the mother. Argonian Father + Kajiit Mother = Kajiit Child -or- Altmer Father + Orsimer (Orc) Mother = Orsimer Child

I try to be as lore friendly as possible
jhondidfool Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 There is another version that works like that but not between species (argonian only with argonian, kajiit only with kajiit, mer with mer -yes, orcs are eleves- and men with men -women-). However, the existence of the Omes Rhat, or elf-kajiit (kajiit that look nearly like bosmer) suggest there may be ways to circunvent both the interespecies breeding and the mother rule, though this last one is the most accepted as it explains why we have 10 races and not 10^10. I'd stick to the mother's rule for the sake of simplicity.
Asariphile Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 Been about a week since I posted here. Still thinking about it, been trying to work out the text box system for the dates. Have been writing text box "trees" of what answer should lead to what box. Everything is still in concept, trying to organize how the work should progress and how I might implement certain things as easily but as fun inducing as possible. Â Most of this is lack of knowledge of the creation kit. I need to figure out how to translate each feature into the Skyrim engine in a manner that I can handle with my skillset. Â Just wanted to say the project isn't dead yet
Hollow_Fang Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I remember there was a morrowind mod i think it was CM partners or something, but had a aspect to chat it up on topics and there history and levels of the relationship i think that should be applied to companions in skyrim add in the minilovers mod as a non assault type,on that note if minilovers counts as assault why do no guards try to skin you alive ?
Hollow_Fang Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 has any one found any thing that adds life to the compainions?
