Guest Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hello everyone. There is a helmet mesh from a Morrowind mod which I always used that I want to get into Oblivion (specifically Nehrim, but it doesn't really make a difference). I've already converted the mesh into the oblivion format through the Morroblivion esp/nif conversion tool (however, for whatever reason I could only get the world models, it gave me some error about the mod's meshes having too many triangles). Now what I want to do is swap the mesh of any helmet at all with the one I have; but I also want to know if it's at all possible to even swap a helmet mesh with a world model? With nifskope I already was able to swap the steel helmet's mesh with it however it ends up invisible even after deleting the original one and assigning textures to the new one. The mod in question is this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43647/? Specifically, I want to convert the bascinet in this screenshot http://tinyurl.com/zel5ly7 into an Oblivion helmet. But please, keep in mind I want to do this only for personal use and I don't plan on releasing the edited mesh for downloading, I've no intention of stealing someone else's work. With this out of the way, I'd like to know if anyone here could help me.
gregathit Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 You probably need to pull it into blender, delete the morrowind skeleton, import the oblivion skeleton, parent it, and then export it.
