Fix for duplicate items?

I LOVE having variety in armors and weapons throughout the game. Never knowing what the enemy will have is just a great gameplay mechanic i think. But as i load up on weapon and armor mods i notice that some have different IDs but are basically the exact same item with almost identical stats. Is there a mod or method to remove or hide duplicate items especially when crafting?
