Nifskope issue; want to open files with latest version

The issue is I want to open the NIF file extension with the latest version however,

 

When double clicking the NIF it opens with Alpha 5, rather than current Alpha 6.

 

Which means that I would have to go to where nifskope is located for Alpha 6 and then open every NIF I want to look at manually rather than simply double clicking them in the directory as normal.

 

Upon attempting to re-associate the file to Alpha 6, I ended up having it associated to another program, that was a lot of hassle to correct.

Also it wont re-associate to the new Nifskope.

 

Help needed.

 

Yes I am aware of Right Click, Open with,

you can choose the program windobe pick by default with open with

or you copy paste alpha 6 folder where alpha5 is installed

rename the nifskope.exe to sometyhing like nifskope 2-6a.exe

then right click choose default program and choose new one.
