Save Game Files

Couple of questions.  

 

Does the number of them affect the game to have too many save game files?  and Where are they stored at?  If anything I have too many

The number of savegames certainly affects the time interval from your clicking "load" to the list of savegames appearing on the screen. I don't think it affects the game itself, but I'm not entirely sure.

 

The savegames are stored in C:\Users\User\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves . Depending on your operating system, the path may be a little different. All else failing, search your hard disk for files *.ess .
