Question Regarding "JSON" files and RaceMenu...

I was wondering if it was possible to use a character preset saved in JSON format with RaceMenu and Skyrim? I wanted to use a character preset from Fallout 4 and the Looksmenu but I'm not sure how this would work, if it even would?

Would appreciate some advice, THANKS!

No.

but Mayyyybeeeeeeee? Would require a lot of work and guessing:

 - I didn't look at the morphs, but I think they are different. Fo4 has more as well.(how sliders deform the head)

You would need to approximate what Skyrim Slider is similar to one Fallout 4 slider/morph (Yes, technically it is still sliders in Fo4)

 - 3D Model is completely different

Similar to something people request from some time to time. If you create a tool to do it: Can you create a CBBE preset from just the generated NIF files?

Maybe if we get a system that allows for mods like CITRUS Heads (player only headparts), then we could just create a head with the same morphs as (modded) Skyrim.

Good news then, it doesn't have to be lowpoly like vanilla Skyrim. Just morphs should look the same.

Or create a new head that is super duper awesome with morphs for all the things.

Hey! Thanks for replying  :shy: Little late on my reply, but after a whole weekend guessing and trying and attempting everything within my knowledge and beyond, I needed a break from my PC lol! Mostly my chair....I hate this chair....Anyways....I'm still trying to figure out all the nuts and bolts, but like you said the character models in FO4 are completely different. Was thinking about messaging the author of Racemenu/Looksmenu and seeing if he/she could give me any advice as how I would start.

Looked at both the JSLOT and JSON files side by side in DiffMerge to possibly get further in my little venture, only to be knocked back down what was once a small hill and has now become a mountain. The formatting of the two preset files is also completely different, well almost. The older JSLOT files are just numbers and practically every preset I have or downloaded for testing, have little to know formatting that stands out. Looks more like HEX coding to me tbh...the JSON files on the other hand resemble or have formatting similar to .ini files without the highlighting. Well not literally matching the formatting of INI files but upon looking them over it's what came to mind really.

It would be good, no GREAT, if I could find some docs on each of the two formats in regards to Skyrim and Fallout4 and their respective editors, being RaceMenu and LooksMenu. Since, at least with JSON, the file types are used by other IDEs or various other outlets and not just gaming. I'd really have to start digging or messaging some authors to find out and get an explanation as to how the JSON and JSLOT file types are formatted for TESV and FO4 line by line when looking at them in a text editor, etc. JSLOT, other than the first few lines at the start, are just numbers on each line til the end of file, whereas JSON actually has some descriptors at the start of some lines, don't know the actually coding lingo, think it's triggers? Whatever's in the brackets hahaha.
