Dibella Quest Line

When I first played Skyrim, it had just come out and the modding scene had not really got going. I returned to it with Special Edition and now there are sex mods a plenty but they don't really seem to be integrated into the game. If you want to have naked villagers you just buy the spell. I think it should be something you have to work for.

 

Looking at the mod scene, it looks like all the components are there to make a proper Dibella quest line, for original Skyrim at least. My attempt at craftable Armor of Dibella (i.e. invisible) on SSE got the crafting bit to work but its a bit too invisible. The whole upper body disappears Removing the silly restriction on not using the Compulsion of Dibella in combat worked a treat though. And no, naked combat isn't weird at all. In fact my British ancestors used to be really into it.

 

So I thought I would post asking what components already exist as starting points and see if anyone had tried anything similar first. It is certainly an ambitious scheme, probably something that is better suited to crowdsourcing. But most of the components already exist standalone. Obviously folk here are better placed than me to suggest starting points.

 

 

The starting point for the Quest line I have in mind is that while the faction you choose in the civil war makes little overall difference, deciding to destroy the dark brotherhood leaves a lot of areas unvisited and inaccessible. You can't even go to the big wedding in Solitude unless you are going to murder the bride and groom.

 

Then it hit me. Remember Silvio Burlusconi and his 'Bunga Bunga' parties? Well isn't that the sort of thing a debauched emperor might have on his yacht? And that wedding, shouldn't there be a stag night or a hen party? The dragonborn could be charged with organizing one or the other. There should be a series of parties for the Dragonborn to organize, each bigger than the last. The DB is charged with recruiting participants of whichever sex(es) they choose for the party by giving them a Mark of Dibella. For example:

1. Temple of Dibella (5 celebrants)
2. Dawnstar Sanctuary (7 celebrants)
3. Vittoria Vici's stag/hen party (9 celebrants) - use the interior rooms in the Solitude castle where the dining room was.
4. The Imperial Orgy on The Katariah (As many will fit)
5. Blackreach blacklight party (At least 13)
6. Sovngard (15 + the dead)

An imperial orgy requires an emperor of course. So the DB probably has to side with the empire to make the quests work. I can't see Ulfric supporting any god other than Talos in any case.

 

A prerequisite for some of these would be to clear out the area. In order to reuse the Dawnstar and Katariah locations, the DB is going to have to destroy the Dark Brotherhood. So perhaps this whole plot line begins with the dark brotherhood murdering a priestess of Dibella and this is another way to get the 'destroy the dark Brotherhood' quest instead of killing Grelod. She would have to be killed by someone to avoid breaking things. Could make the exposure of Motiere's murder plot part of the Imperial quest line.

 

Each stage would enable a new 'gift of Dibella'. For example

1. Strange Amulet of Dibella allows one to walk naked without attracting comment
2. Dawnstar sanctuary becomes a permanent home / sex dungeon. A sort of Skyrim Beggars Bennison if you will.
3. Compulsion of Dibella (as minor power)
4. The emperor grants the temple of Dibella the right to license initiates of Dibella (prostitutes) to ply their trade in taverns - with the consent of the local Jarl.
5. Forge blacklight raiments (fluoresce in the blackreach and other dark dungeons) at beginning. Forge other 'armor of Dibella' at the end.
6. Something awesome.

Rather than having prostitutes appear all over Skyrim, I think that this should be granted by the local Jarl after the DB has paid a local for sex in that hold. The DB would have to be a Thane in that hold as a prerequisite and the quest would start by courier letter asking for help recruiting persons for some sort of fun-in-bed. We can have fun thinking up different sexual preferences for the various Jarls.

 

Maven BlackBriar would be a problem of course. If there was prostitution, she would demand a cut. So perhaps it would be necessary to unseat the bitch (deviously of course) and restore Laila Lawgiver with something.

 

Although the preisthood of Dibella is reserved for women, the position of initiate would be open to men as well. We have to cater for players of both sexes of course.

 

My general approach is 'less violence and more sex, much more sex'. Rather than being attacked by the dawnguard/ vampires/ bandits on the road, how about meeting up with random groups of nyphomaniacs ready for an alfresco orgy?

Sexlab Framework will not be compatible with SSE until SKSE64 is finished, but other than that...

Methinks you should focus on creating a proper orgy/sex party mod first, because as far as I know, there isn't one. Then you could use it as a framework for a storyline mod. You've got many ideas, good ones too. Something may come out of it if you put your heart to it.

Yes, you can create it for skyrim, and just reregister the scripts for SSE...

Actually, the orgy part was the least of my concerns. I reckon that if there is an open quest mod, people will start embellishing it soon enough.

 

Get the framework right and people can add to it. 

 

In the short term, it looks like hacking together a quest like in Skyrim original is the best way to start.

The quest itself is not complex to design... you can also set the sex scenes by alias, so you'll able to vary the actors...
