Let's call this a public service announcement, i want to encourage everyone here can see this to vote for their favorite Fallout 4 file of the month on Nexus, because currently there aren't many people voting, and the current file of the month is an oversimplify mod Memory of Daisy- Rename Dogmeat, which is a mod that rename Dogmeat...and nothing else.

While i do not hate this mod nor condemned it's author in anyway (my cousin's dog pass away this year too, my uncle's dog pass away last year, they both been in my family for 10 years at least), it's just kinda sad to see to see Fallout 4 modding community reduce to this, that a simple mod like this get more attention then other people's hard work like new weapon or armor mods, not to mention it's even sadder seeing lots of other people asking it's author to rename Dogmeat to their dog as well. NOTHING wrong with wanted to rename it, what's really wrong is that they asking other people to do simple thing like rename npc and not really learn how to use creation kit by themselves, i remember asking other people to do the same thing for me once and i'm so glad NO ONE reply me, it force me to learn how to use the tool myself and eventually being able to make my own mods.

So please consider take time to vote, not just Endorse, or maybe you want to vote for that mod too well it's your choice, i might be overlook into this but i just want the best for the community.

I saw that too, but I think HudFramework will maybe be the file of the month. It has a lot of potential and it look like people are interested in it.

VTAFS is nice, but that came out back in July, not December. So would seem weird to vote for that as file of the month for December, when it came out in July. :P

Well, just looking at the top 5 any ways, it seems most of them are not even from December lol.

But as Prospec mentioned, I went with HudFramework myself. There is so much potential in this mod that everyone can now make use of. Especially the adult mods when it comes to needing hud displays for the different effects and such (like FNV had). Combine that with Def UI to make something like oHUD from FNV, and we'll no longer need to use console commands to adjust positions.

on the behalf of the community thanks for everyone doing this, i would like to point out there are multiple rename dogmeat even before this one

Which is another reason why i think it shouldn't be file of the month, i don't want Nexus file of the month lost it's credibility.(Not to mention Nexus has security breach awhile ago, which i wonder if it has anything to do with it, probably not but still...)

Normally totally uninterested in monthly cock competitions, I have voted for Daisy and what the mod behind all its simplicity actually stands for - intense feelings, good memories, forever lost companions. I'm only human after all. If that's already an unwelcome aberration from the today social norm, well, then mankind is truly in a bad shape and the Age of the Toasters has come.

Well It's certainly not unwelcome, but file of the month is an alternate way for people to find any good mod they might miss beside endorsement system, this mod isn't a mod that an average modder want to find when they browsing the site, might even be a little confusing like"Why is this here? Should i even bother looking for the rest?" We actually consider file of the month as reward to people's creativity and hard working,

If a simple mod like this can get it just base on intense feelings and good memories, then what does it make them? does file of the month still mean something? should we still care about it? Maybe file of the month are actually worthless and we really shouldn't bother about it? Well the answer is yours...

I think there is no really right or wrong in this matter (Very Fallout like Huh?) I just think i need to do this base on my conscious i guess. You go do what you think you must.

By the way someone else was actually saying the similar thing i said in that mod comment sanction, he wasn't quiet rude if i recalled right but the author were quiet triggered and eventually delete that person's comment.

Well, I'm a retired modder and the fame was once with me. So, I'm familiar with what an average user is looking at and for and that's unfortunately not the File of the Month but the most endorsed files of given periods of time, new ones as well as over all. This and only this reflects the actual importance or trendiness of a mod and thus its possible impact on the modding scene. Moreover, it tells both modder and site owner something about traffic and commercial value of the mod. Finally, the user spares the time necessary to scroll through endless pages of perhaps interesting and perhaps not so interesting mod products and, he realizes if he is mainstream or at the periphery of it depending on the personal liking, his actual downloads. The File of the Month, however, is an award as good as the Face of the Month, something that gave me a good feeling for a single day 'cause it's just a flash in the pan, irrelevant already again the day after. Cha!

On the Nexus I don't participate in any convo and mere randomly have to say thanks for a nice comment on my screenshots - in the grand freak show the jaguar simply can't change his spots *g*. So I really don't know what happens there and why, or should I say, don't wanna know.

Well unfortunately....

The files with the top endorsements are basically just the first mods that hit the site.

Its even worse because of all the new people coming in that don't even know anything about what they are downloading.  A lot of mods are pretty much "snake oil" as in they do nothing, very little, or even make the game worse or are just plain bad in comparison to the original game.

I declare this the Nexus Joke of the Year 2016. Congratulations!

Do you really believe that the Most Endorsed Weapon of All Time - the war club - would impress an ambitious, rogue warlord in Central Africa of today? Don't you think that he'd look for the Most Endorsed Weapon in the Last, say, 20 Years, no?
