Question on the difficulty of SFM conversion.

So I'm a huge fan of Nualia from LordAardvark, and I really want to convert her model from SFM to Skyrim for personal use. I'm trying to do this myself and have hit a few roadblocks since I'm fairly new to this. How difficult is this kind of project and would it even produce something that looks good? I've linked her model below.

You don't need the whole thing, just the head mesh, some touch-up/re texturing will probably be required.

You will probably want to download this from the nexus. (Picture tutorial.)

Here is a video on how to do it using blender.

Quote from the video description:

This is the method I used to port heads in Skyrim. This video should be consider an integration (page 44-53) of this basic tutorials

start with armors before trying bodies

nuala it's a v7

import unp (or whatever you use) in daz, load v7 and edit it to make it as close as possible to unp (unless you want to have to learn how to weight that, and have to convert all outfits to it)

once it's done, you export the .obj

import it in blender or 3dmax

merge the meshes (one per texture, unless it have more than 25 000 verticles)

merge a hi poly head on it (one that can speak, citrus, doa, v4...) (or learn how to make tri files, more complicated stuff)

edit it manually to make it closer to the v7 head (morph modifier suck)

snap the skyrim head on the neck (if there's not enought verticles you just remove a few from body, don't add verticles to the head)

copy paste skyrim weights on that

bake the textures on the head meshe (f10 or f11 in blender after picking the jpg in uvmap editor) (if result suck, it's because of that you want the head to have similar morphs as the v7 head)

export the nif

edit a custom race or edit bodychange to put it in game

learn how to make msn, sk and s textures

copy paste unp bstexturesomething and edit the textures path

sbp 32 for body, 33 for arms, 37 for legs, and whatever it is for head

and check the result in game
