Guest INKkan Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 So I wanted to show off my animation that I'm currently working on, but couldn't find a thread that we could share it without going OT. Thus the idea of this thread formed. I give you: "The General WIP Animation Thread"! A place where we can share the animations we've created that are works in progress! All are welcome to share your WIPs here, and get help in the process. (Just make sure you tell us which game the animation is for) I'll get the thread started: I'm creating a basic jerk-off animation in bed (TS4) Keep in mind it's a WIP so there are definitely some things that aren't finished yet. I'd say for my first animation I did okay.
Guest Redabyss Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 That's a pretty nice job! Keep up the good work!
Guest INKkan Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Thank you. I tip my hat to the true animators in this community. This animation alone took me a few hours to accomplish, I don't know how they manage to whip out so many animations in such a short time. I guess practice makes perfect.

Took me half a day to make one half-assed somethingjob, and then I even deleted it because it was too crappy. Can totally relate.
SepticSpoon Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 That's really nice. I tried a masturbation loop with blender and it looked fine. (think it was about 10 frames) But after I got it into sims, the animation was much faster than it was in blender. Maybe I messed something up.
Anonny Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 A quick question; how were you able to get the breathing motions looking so smooth? I've tried doing it with the scaling but it ends up expanding all body parts above the upper torso. Fantastic animation by the way! My futas are in need of more self play. (One of the reasons why I wanted to start contributing). And for my original question; what sounds for Sims 4 do you all recommend? I haven't tried one yet but will soon. Looking at the sounds listed on the WickedWhims site it looks quite varied. Are there any good ones for just a standard fapping session? My mind goes straight to the woohoo ones but that's probably a bit intense for just casual solo play.
HKo_83 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Dumm question, but how does one get the rendered rig into gif? tried Windows Movie maker, but all I got was 240 images in "playable" album...

But when I do I'll see if I have the same issue. A quick question; how were you able to get the breathing motions looking so smooth? I actually rotated the bones instead of scaling them because I ran into the same hiccup that you did. And thanks . As for the other question, I'm not sure about because I haven't added sounds to mine yet. I imagine it's a bit of experimentation. I think I remember someone suggesting to use the painting VO's as they sound the closest to "sex noises", but I'm not positive. Dumm question, but how does one get the rendered rig into gif? tried Windows Movie maker, but all I got was 240 images in "playable" album... I don't know what other animators are using, but I used GifCam to capture my animation in Blender. (there's probably a better way) -------------------------- I finished my animation! Now I just need to add sound.

You can render your animations in .jpeg format and then load them into Photoshop or Gimp and create your gif. Or you can render the animation out to H.264 (or any other video format) then use a site like ezgif to convert the video into a gif. There is also another tool for making gifs called "Giffing Tool" it just records a selection you pick and lets you create a gif from the selection. I finished my animation! Now I just need to add sound. Nice. Looking forward to seeing it in-game.
Guest INKkan Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 ^Thanks. I couldn't get sound working but it works in-game. I'll save that for another day, for now I feel pretty accomplished. Please visit this thread if you would like this animation.
Guest Redabyss Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Good job! You should create a download thread in TS4, so it will have more visibility
Guest INKkan Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Thanks! I probably will when I create a few more animations. I don't want to create a whole thread for one animation. EDIT: Okay, I caved and made a thread. you can view it here.
Jade Scorpion Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 hey guys I am also working on some animations problem is when I am done making my animations and going to test on sims4 they just go to there respective locations and do nothing could this be a problem with XML file?

If you post your .xml file in spoilers here. We could see if it looks fine. It could be any number of things.

Guest INKkan Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 ^ Does the ClipName that you made in S4Studio match the "animation_name" variable in the XML? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WIP Stage 3 of my Jerk off animation:

Is your animation solo or multiple people because you have your xml setup as looking for two male actors so I'm assuming it's the latter. If that's the case your xml looks fine to me. ^ Does the ClipName that you made in S4Studio match the "animation_name" variable in the XML? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WIP Stage 3 of my Jerk off animation: Damn. Pumping them out. Nice. May I ask how you got the thrusting motion? When I try moving my pelvis forward it moves the whole lower section with it. Looks like I'm sliding on the floor. Also just curious, do you use IK constraints for the wrists and feet?

It's tedious but the way I've been doing it is adjusting the feet every keyframe to make sure that the feet are in the same spot. And yes I use IK constraints, it'd be a nightmare otherwise! -------------------------------------------------- Jerk Off - Stage 4 Climax Still have to fix the jumpiness and do the hands, but this is my longest animation so far.
fordirty Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 And yes I use IK constraints, it'd be a nightmare otherwise! Thank you so much for your animations! I've been wanting a simple jerk off animation for a while now, this is great! Would you consider perhaps uploading your rigs? I've been trying to make IK constraints for my rigs for a while, but I'm hopeless hahaha.

Would you consider perhaps uploading your rigs? I've been trying to make IK constraints for my rigs for a while, but I'm hopeless hahaha. It's no trouble! I've been waiting for the same kinds of animations so I decided to just take matters into my own hands. About the rig, it's actually a pretty simple setup, I just followed this tutorial for eyes. As for the IK, JonyPink gave a solution to that. I actually face-palmed after reading this because it was simpler than I was making it. Hi there.... I just started playing with Blender and the animations and I have the same questions as you. It's a shame that nobody has answered because what you ask are basic things to start making animations. If it helps, I have found myself moving a foot or a hand, move the leg or arm completely ..... 1.- Select a foot 2.- Click on Add Bone Constraint (it is an icon with a bone and a chain) 3.- Select "Inverse Kinematics" 4.- Change the value of String length to 3 Ready, you must do this for the other foot and hands, you can also do it for the knees but this time with value 2. By the way, if you have been able to solve any of your questions, I would like you to write the solutions here. Thank you.

Or at least how block leng when pelvis are moved ? Many Thanks.
Guest INKkan Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Greetings INKkan, sorry if i bother you but can you explain me please how IK Constraint work ? Or at least how block leng when pelvis are moved ? Many Thanks. It's no problem. Basically, IK(Inverse Kinematics) allows you to grab part of the skeleton with the "g" key or using the transform arrows (instead of rotating), and Blender will automatically calculate where to place connected bones. You can find the panel to set up IK on the right side of the screen in Blender, it looks like like a bone and a chain. Just make sure you select the right thing when adding a constraint.

JonyPink Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Hi all...... Here you have a video where you can see how to use Inverse Kinematics.....( From second 17 in forward)....this is not a solution for the issue with feet when you move pelvis.....I didn't find any solution to that yet, I even tried sending this question to a famous animator here, but I got no answer from him. Regards.
