New to modding and need some advice

Hey all, im new to modding and would like some advice I've been modding since oblivion but after thinking I bet there's a mod for that and being let down I've decided to start trying to make my own, I've downloaded 3ds max and am looking into animation tutorials. The only mods im interested in making are animation mods. I plan to start small with a simple idle animation such as a yawn. The end goal right now is to change the crippling animation that plays when both legs are crippled i would like the player to crawl similar to Arma or so I've heard. Was just looking for some advice and maybe a good tutorial link. Any and all help is appreciated:)

Just in case you haven´t seen it already.

There are links to general Animation tutorials in there too,

but when using the 3ds Max scences from the F4AK you can easily play around and get something.

That would be a Face Animation / Expression.

Im not sure if anyone already figured out how to do that.
