Did you have 1 GTX 1070 or did you run SLI?
xGHoSTx Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Just a single, apparently cuz my base hardware (motherboard RAM and processor) is kinda old i think thats why it wasnt working so well i still have the GTX 1070 but im waiting for an upgrade im getting this christmas to be able to run it
RitualClarity Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 your motherboard has PCI express 2.0. As you get more and more powerful boards it will start to have bottlenecks. Some will experience little problems others will experience much greater issues depending on the demands of the game. I experienced some bottlenecking at times (speed issues) with a GTX970 and a PCI express 2.0 board. If you upgrade to a 3.0 board you should be able to run all without any bottlenecks going forward for a few years. with that being said there might be driver issues that are present. Make sure you have the most up to date drivers, lower your requirements (settings of the game) and you should resolve any of those bottle necks that you have until you can upgrade in the future. If this does solve the issue then it was very likely it was bottlenecking. If you reduce the demand and lower the resolution and settings and still have problems you likely have problems with your hardware somewhere. Memory, chipset (driver or actual hardware) processor, power etc.
Antrox Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I was wondering about SLI because SLI with the 10XX Series is really fucky right now.
RitualClarity Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 @Antrox. Have you checked different games (for differences in SLI profiles for that game) or is it across the board. Also is it for AMD (which has the PCIx 2.0) vs Intel (PCIx3.0) graphics cards. Someone I work with has an SLI setup on a 2011 Intel chip set and has no problems (full x16 for each card) however does have some buggyness with Skyrim 32bit and some other older games. (likely he states due to SLI profiles and setup etc)

RitualClarity Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 You can't put three 10xx because it doesn't work as well if at all. I am not sure Win10 can even do this. Even those I know try to use it it won't work. Many times they couldn't even get the game to start. Much like what is represented above. I am sorry when I mention SLI I am meaning 2 cards not 3. 2 is currently supported with Windows 10 and Nvidia 3 isn't. or as far as I know. (10xx models.) many I know are waiting to get ahold of those Titans wich I believe do support 3 and might even 4 but not sure. I found this for AMD and bottleneck. He is capable and should be able to give a very good example of bottle necks in real world for a 10xx model.
