As the title may suggest, i have trouble with .package files...

I wanted to create some new hair mods for skyrim, filled with good hope and determination i stumbled upon this "mess" of a file type.

How do i get the meshes and textures out of them ?

and how do i use the contents in 3d max ?

 

i'm a fool for getting into this mess, aren't i?

Aren't .package files a sims thing rather than a skyrim thing?
