drinkthatweed Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 So every time im in a shadow during the day i get a really nasty bronze shine. Ive tried that one mod no more bronze skin but it didnt work. Is there any other fix for this?
Frozium Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 As far as I know this can be caused by a combination of your skin plus ENB or other shade-changing mod similar to an ENB. You can try these things: 1- Change your ENB 2- Change your skin If nothing of this works, don't panic, more answers will come.
buglover Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Does the shine come and go with outfit changes? If so, it is a problem with the outfit, NOT your skin. Fix the outfit. If not (the shine is always there), it is a problem with the skin you have installed (OR, how your ENB is effecting that skin). Go into enblocal.ini and disable the graphics modifications that come with ENB (you'll still get all the memory fixes) and see if the shine goes away. Yes? Try another ENB preset or just play with the modifications disabled. No? The problem is with your installed skin, usually the femalebody_1_sk.dds file. After making a backup copy and putting it somewhere safe, open femalebody_1_sk.dds in paint.net (or equivelant), select the entire image, then use the paintbucket tool to fill the entire image in with pure black (sounds drastic, but just do it). Save it and start up Skyrim. Shine gone? Yay! This works well on some skins, but on others it may make the skin look too dark when in shadows. It worked fine on CBBE base skins. Hope that helps! Ciao! Bug
