How do you permanently change somebody's height?

Hi,

So I'd like to change the height of certain people in Skyrim but specifically I want to make one of my followers smaller and another taller. "Setscale" doesn't really work since as soon as a sexlab or another animation starts they adjust back to their normal height (setscale =1).

My first thought is how do I manipulate the actors value of 1 to make their 1 = 0.9 or their 1 = 1.2 or whatever?

I don't know how to do this as I'm not a modder.

My own character is a bit smaller than average thanks to Enhanced Character Edit:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12951/?

Which is permanent as in I can go through doors and start animations she stays the same height.

I tried one suggestion which was to use Alternate Actors:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36047/?

... and then just "showracemenu" to use Enhance Character Edit to change the height of my NPC.

This didn't work as the mod is glitchy and very strange things would happen if I attempted it, also the height change wasn't permanent.

So has anybody already had this problem and solved it? It would be handy to know if you have. I read my only option might be to make a new race and place the character in myself but, even though it's not to complicated to do if you have plenty of time to spare, I was hoping there would be an easier option that I just don't know about.

Thanks in advance  :)

Note I did just find this on a similar post (after I had posted this) from a LL member caller Lother:

"Just copy paste the sliderset you use (the xml) for your nude replacer builds, and rename it for each follower. Inside each xml you need to change <SliderSet name="YourFollower/CustomRace"> that will show inside bodyslide, and <OutputPath>meshes\actors\character\character assets</OutputPath> change the path for your follower's meshes. This is a nice solution because you can change the shape in bodyslide anytime you want for each follower and just click build, like you do for your char. But again, you need an esp plugin that adds a custom mesh path.

Also works with any custom races. And of course standalone followers."

I don't quite know how to do this, however.

Not to sure, but the way *I* do it, is in the Creation Kit. Find the actor you want to change in the actors list, double click them and in the "Traits" tab, you can set height and weight.

Be sure to select the actor again after changing them and pressing shift+ctrl+F4, so you export the facegen textures and meshes to be used in the game! Otherwise you will get the dreaded "Greyface".

TES5Edit

Choose your esp.

then on the left side:

-Open esp

-Non-Player Character

-"name on npc"

on the right look for:

NAM6 - Height (1.000000 is the normal height)

Nam7 - Weight if u want to change that aswell, its just bellow.

Then save only the esp u changed when closing TES5Edit.

Both great suggestions so let me give these ago.

Thanks so much

npc scale randomizer

Hmm. I'd never heard of that before:

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/617-npc-body-scale-randomizer/

I did give it a go but unfortunately it didn't work because as soon as I started an animation with the NPC he popped back up to his original height.

However, you might be on to something though as in the description it says "Please be aware there might be changes height and weight are stored in the game, it will not be restored when you uninstall the mod or disable the feature."

Which seems to indicate to me it's possible to change their height permanently. Also I know it's possible as the player character maintains her height at all times.

Thanks man
