nighbin Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 When I'm in 3rd person, standing still, and no weapons/things equipped in hands, my mouse camera sensitivity suddenly drops to low levels. Mouse speeds return to normal when I start moving, equip something in hands, or go to first person, it only happens when I'm idle in 3rd person. I have removed all mods, reinstalled Skyrim untouched from scratch, and removed all local and cloud config files, and this keeps happening for both vanilla and SE versions of Skyrim. I'm sure other people have encountered this as it seems like a software issue, but no one is responding with anything helpful (there's a few other people online who have confirmed this issue, including an archived thread here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/41455-3rd-person-camera-mouse-sensitivity-when-idle/ ) Anyone have any ideas?
nighbin Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 Addendum, it's only the y-sensitivity that slows down when I stand still in 3rd person
nighbin Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 I have an update on this, this Y sensitivity issue is being caused by your FPS ingame. Using an FPS limiter, I limited my FPS to 30 and the problem went away. At 60 FPS it becomes more evident, still hard to notice. At 120 FPS and beyond it is extremely noticeable. Those of you who turned off vsync/ipresentinterval prolly caused your FPS to get really high, making the problem worse. I suspect this is because the autists at bethesda prioritized the game's development for consoles (since I believe the game ran at 30 FPS locked on xbox 360 and ps3?).

I neve get high FPS so I never encountered the bug. Fyi I have this beta version installed in case you want to try it.
nighbin Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 holy shit, thank you for posting that. I thought nobody knew anything on how to fix that bug. Aside from that and the Unofficial Legendary patch, do you have any other recommendations on bug fix mods?
