Why installing UUNP is SO complicated?

Hi everyone! I suddenly decided to reinstall Skyrim, and also decided to give a try to UUNP body replacer (before I always used a CBBE)

On CBBE installing was pretty simple:

-Download CBBE

-Unpack it with wanted settings to client
-Install skeleton

-Apply HDT with Bodyslide

That's all. But now I wanted to install UUNP and first, I haven't found it. Really. Tried installing UNP from Nexus' 1st page, but no bodyslide presets are availible (so I can't generate, for example, Heretical Resources, which requires generating in bodyslide to work). So, what is that UUNP and why there is no links on it even on UUNP armor conversions mods? On some screenshot I noticed Racemenu with UUNP sliders, so I even tried installing it, but, of course, in my installation there is no any of them. For now that's main reason for me to keep using CBBE, despite people says UUNP is much better. Maybe, but my head was about to explode while I tried to find any info on it. I simply have no other idea where on Earth it's located, and if there is any SIMPLE way to fully install UUNP without getting a headache.

If there is any instructions for it - please, point me there.

It's integrated in the Bodyslide installer. Install Bodyslide with a mod manager and simply choose to install UUNP (and the UUNP RaceMenu sliders). Get XPMSE (skeleton) and UNP textures and you have everything you need to use UUNP.

If you grab the full BodySlide + Outfit Studio mod, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015/? , it's built in just like CBBE. All you need to do is select the proper group, Unified UNP, and then pick which body style and customize it, just like you would CBBE. In fact, if you've installed CBBE any time recently, it likely came from the full mod and you already have UUNP, since it's been this way for quite some time now.

Is it possible to install in manually? I've never used any mod managers, so it will be quite a problem to learn how it works.

I have CBBE v3.4f, don't remember when I downloaded it, it's separate archive.

P.S. well, I feeling dumb, haven't even looked on Bodyslide archive content besides [00 BodySlide], so that's why I haven't found that it have built-in replacers.

Sorry for that.

Mod managers were made to make the whole idea of modding easier, i personally would not dare to install my mods without one, tend to be quite forgetfull.

If you are someone who installs mods manually for whatever reason, you should know how to handle mods that are packaged like an installer and it seems like you know how to do that.

I don't install mods manually so I can't help you with telling you the exact names of the things that you should choose, so I just tell you what I remember from the installer:

You needBodyslide and UUNP (CBBE is not required and you can have CBBE and UUNP installed if you want to). UUNP RaceMenu morphs (you need RaceMenu, a skeleton like XPMSE AND the "Build Morphs" box checked in Bodyslide for any body/armor you build) and pre-built bodies are optional. I would highly recommend you to use the RaceMenu morphs.

UUNP also has different versions than CBBE does: UUNP itself is the body without HDT, UUNP HDT is the body with HDT and UUNP Special is the body with HDT and a working vagina (it will open/close itself depending on what is happening).

Look here for a list of Bodyslide armors. If you want a vanilla armor replacer, Gamefever made one and I think it's the only one that covers all vanilla armors (but it's skimpy).

EDIT: Make sure to get some body textures too. I use Fair Skin Complexion, but if you don't like a pale, young skin then you should search for other ones. SG textures, Mature textures, Leyenda textures, Realgirl textures and SRG textures are textures that just came to my mind. If you just want to see if the body works ingame, you can simply use the default UNP textures that are a part of UNP (UNP, not UUNP) itself.

I've got one question about textures Fair Skin Complexion: is there a face texture in it? I found only body textures, brows, eyes, mouth, but no face skin itself. I tried some of them, but face remains vanilla wrinkled. Any idea when I failed (again)?

Fair skin complexion has many facetextures, they are only not present in the standard files.

Look for the file Fair Skin Complexion Extra Options v8.0 in the fair skin complexion nexus page
