CK2 Question: AGOT-compatible mods?

Howdy, all,

 

I've seen a couple of references to folks using some of the mods here alongside the superb Game of Thrones mod, and wanted to ask which mods are able to work, and how involved the process is in making the mods compatible. I'd love to try out some of the mods on this forum, but since I started playing AGOT, it's been very, very difficult for me to get interested in playing CK2 on the vanilla map. I recall that there once was a compatibility patch out there for Dark World, but that it was taken down after later updates. Does anyone have any pointers for where I could get started? I'm not averse to changing some files, but I've no modding experience with CK2 at all.

There's a post somewhere in the DW thread about changing the dependency.

 

Can't tell you what exactly is needed for AGOT because I don't use that so don't know the file names, but it should be extremely painless.  Like adding one line to the .mod file painless.

Interesting- and thanks for the reply! Do you recall which DW thread it might be in? My search-fu isn't narrowing down the results very well, and there are enough DW threads (to a newcomer) that I'm not quite sure where to start looking!

 

 

EDIT: Doi! It was in the FAQ all along. My bad! I'm curious - can anyone with better CK2 modding knowledge than me let me know if any further submods need tweaking as well?

I myself used the Dark World Mods without problems together with AGOT

ReMeDy Custom Portraits are a problem, because you can only use one and there are

really good versions for Dark World and for AGOT

and i myself are not good enough in modding to bring these together.

 

Christianity most likely doesn't work (because AGOT changes the religions completely)
