Hello, I just finally picked up Skyrim for PC, played it a bit on Xbox360, but have been wanting to play with some mods.

 

I haven't played around with mods of any sort for a few years, as I haven't had a PC to play around on in some time. Been looking around for mod sites, Nexus, Curse, Moddb, and here. (Nice site, btw) However, seeing as how I have been out of Mod practice for quite awhile, this is all a bit confusing to jump into at this point... (The game and mods have been out for quite some time at this point.)

 

My current problem is twofold; 1: I have some issues finding just the right mods, and 2: When I find the right mod, it usually has a literal tree of required of other mods to work. In previous years, there was always a certain order to these things, otherwise literally everything would break, and I'm sure not much has changed. 

 

So, with these problems in mind, I would like to ask for any guidance in my quest to mod the hell out of this game. I have already installed SKSE and FNIS, and don't appear to have any problems.

 

What I am looking for is some mods along the lines of:

Model retextures (adults and children)

Interesting custom races, and playable children

Interesting armor/weapon/clothing/house mods

Flying and wings

And finally, for now, some kinky-time mods. I'm very open to suggestions/recommendations.

 

I'm sorry if this has been covered before (cue the "There is a search feature for a reason comments") but most of what I had previously found was either not much help, or just led down a rabbit hole for where to begin with mods. I kinda want to start off with some rather basic functionalities that don't conflict with eachother, and work on from there, adding in textures and such at a later time.

 

If someone has a group of mods that they like, doesn't conflict, and that fits some/most of what I am looking for and would be willing to provide a list, of all and orders of which to install, or even just tools to help install and detect conflicts, it would be much appreciated!

It's quite ambiguous to know what you call the 'the right mods' are but here are some basic from what I have learnt:

 

1) Models retuxture comes for male, females and chidren separately, for females you need a body mod like UNP or CBBE (you can find them on the nexus) and then a skin retexture (like SG textures which I use), for males there are some mods for them as well but I think one the most used is Schlongs of Skyrim (S.O.S).

 

2) You can find custom races on the nexus you can choose your favorite from there (mine is the Nigheim race).

 

3)I don't know which kind of armor you like (skimpy or not skimpy) but you can find some skimpy armors here, or download armor mods on the nexus (the mod inmersive armors has a lot of them) also the mod inmersive weapons contains a lot of weapons in one esp which is great for your load order.

 

4) Most of the kinky mods from this page require sexlab which requires you to download a mod called FNIS ( you can find it on the nexus) and all it's requirements and also require ZAZ animation pack which I think also requires sexlab, you can find both of these mods (sexlab and ZAZ) here.

 

5) There are different kinds of adults mods here so choose whatever mods you like most

 

6) I'm not an expert on children mods but you can find them in the nexus.

Thanks for the reply, and some ideas on what exactly to be looking for. It can be hard to describe "the right mods" or what kinda armor and weapons I like, as my item preference/usage will change day to day, though having a package deal will help, I just kept finding individual items that I wasn't interested in, though I admittedly haven't gone through the entire list (seems like a never-ending page count)

 

I've gotten sexlab, fnif, skyui, zaz installed and working (afaik) and have been searching for some other mods. Got a half-dragon race working as well (mostly, at least)

 

As for armors, I like the looks of the Daedric Reaper armor, and I'll be looking for more similar. As far as the child mods, I haven't had much luck on Nexus, yet. I'm sure someone around here might have a link to where I might have missed something, though.

I would suggest Deviously Cursed Loot to add some unpredictability to your gameplay.

If your planing to use the "sexy time" mods, better avoid the playable children mods, they remove the "child" tag and well, that is very much forbidden around here.

Thanks! This is pretty much what I was looking for, and got it running fairly smoothly with some additional armor packs.

That is quite a list..  I grabbed a few, and I plan on seeing how far down the rabbit hole I can make it go!

Somebody has to address the point. 

I wasn't planning on having them all active at once, and I actually have a few different game locations for different mod groups. Makes it a little easier to switch between mod groups, and have less conflict of having files wanting to overwrite each other. My oops at the start of finding these mods was with having a couple of different mods active that didn't want to play nice (I had skykids and another one that I can't remember, got rid of it as I ended up not caring for it) and I kept CTD at main menu until I sorted it out.
