Zor2k13 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I was googling some stuff and ran into a 4chan thread where somebody had posted a maid outfit for assaultrons and was like WTF? then further down the page there was a mod for an M60 machine gun:-) The mod was just that gun nothing else not even leveled lists ugh... so I had to go in there and add it to leveled lists no problem. I finally get the gun and the stats says "range 0" wut???? How can it have ZERO range? I shot it for a while seemed to be working and bullets seemed to be impacting things. Read that thread some more and it was a gun taken from the modern firearms mod where some kind of other mod requirements were needed and a bunch of dam scripts were running it. Maybe whoever ripped it out of that mod didn't know how to set the range? I tried in CK but it says min and max range is 256 and actually all other guns say that too. I don't know where range for any gun is in CK lol. Looks like they left out a bunch of mods for the gun too like sights and scopes etc. Would be nice to have glow sights at least or a reflex oh well.

I dumped the buggy standalone that someone ripped out of the main mod and found modern firearms mod from reddit. Dammit all those special ed components just so I can watch an M60 bounce all over my computer screen and barely hit anything. At least with the original mod installed it works correctly and I am thinking it uses those perks like steady aim and others to improve over time.

Zor2k13 Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Finally got a handle on fixing the bouncing guns. It appears that any bipods on the guns can be flipped down and actually reduce bouncing so having a bipod is actually good for something. I was looking at the IF54 gun mod when changing the values specifically when using the LSW barrel so the bouncing is at a minimum now. For anyone else trying to do the same thing just change the aim model under the weapon page from conbat rifle to submachine gun and then alter the object modifications like barrels to have reduced numbers on those things in there like cone of fire and recoil etc by comparing the values of a gun mod you like or even from default weapons values. I only changed the saco m60 and that paratrooper LMG so far. Now if only I could remove some guns that would fix this mod and add minimum level requirements too. I don't want advanced stuff spawning at the beginning of the game or just anywhere.

The 22LR is great as a varmit rifle takes care of low level ghouls and all the usual bugs and critters just fine. LUUUUVVVV the sound it makes sounds so kewl:-) I get CTD when accidentally scrolling over the bipod section on the gun workbench but it is a known problem. Now I just have to work out balancing with all the other gun mods I have and the vanilla guns too even with the 50% damage reduction mod it is still too overpowered. The underbarrel grenade launcher sucks and has a crap sound effect I can't figure out why. Wish they would have copied the fireworks stuff for use on the underbarrel so it would look and sound more like a grenade launcher.
Zor2k13 Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 I found the tactical edition v2,41 from some japanese site? from google and updated to it. I went through the mod and made my own damage reduction changes to line it up with vanilla weapons and mod weapons I have loaded plus have the same base damage for 7.62 ammo as nuka world has. Some bugs I found were needing to run FO4EDIT before starting a new game and the vulcan minigun doesn't fire if the receiver is not 7.62 it will just say missing required ammo. Hotkeys mod doesn't work anymore so I can't switch between scope options or fire modes anymore. It figures when they got the grenade launcher sounding right and maybe working right they had to screw up the hot key support. That hot key stuff is scripted and maybe that is what caused my ctd all the time since so far I haven't had any but I also haven't found an M60 machine gun yet or the minimi either. For some reason everyone in the game world has a dam MP7 now instead of various other guns and I think I found like one pipe pistol since I started a new game lol. I have my leveled lists merged mod stuff sorted so it is not a bug it is how they wanted it to be. Kinda sucks because I will miss out on the double barrel shotgun at early levels and the combat shotgun before I get to the modded shotgun stuff I have loaded.
