Jappa123 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Hello everyone so i trying to get my skyrim stable, overall it works perfect except random ctd no matter where im(small cell, open world) and what im doing(running, browsing inventory) sometimes after 10s and sometimes after 10min like i said its totally random i dont really think its related with specific mod, i think its just too many mods installed, right now i have ~140 esp when i turn off some of them no ctd but like i said cant find any specific mod that causes ctd, most of mods i use are followers, armors, graphics and few other mods like add item menu, immersive patrols, some quest mods, home mods etc, i tried to disable A Quality world map i heard that might help and tried to lower graphics and installed SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editor- still ctd i heard people have 200 even 250 mods installed and no ctd maybe there are some ini tweaks that i miss that allow you to install more mods btw i use mod organizer. My load order, mods, ini's: https://modwat.ch/u/kappa123 my pc: GTX 770 i5 3570 8gb ram I have ENBboost,Crash Fixes and i tried this(its from my topic on nexus): remove SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editor and make sure you have done this: Create a file called skse.ini in Skyrim\Data\SKSE\ if you don't have it already, then write inside (remove other lines that might be inside the file): [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 EnableDiagnostics=1 ;<----you can leave this to 0 turn to 1 if debugging [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 [Debug] WriteMinidumps=1 ;<----you can leave this to 0 turn to 1 if debugging After that download and install Crash Fixes: http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/72725/? Download and install Bug Fixes as well: http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/76747/? After having installed it navigate to Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Pugins\CrashFixPlugin.ini Modify in CrashFixPlugin.ini UseOSAllocators=1 follow the instructions above this line (in CrashFixPlugin.ini) to make it work. You will need to download and install SKSE Plugin Preloader Link:http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/75795/? Create a shortcut with this argument and launch the game from it (if you are on ModOrganizer add to the SKSE executable the -forcesteamloader argument) After this i think its worst than before game is soooo unstable ctd more often, lag spikes etc. Thx for help and sorry for bad english. There is one more thing i added [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 to skse.ini and i played 1 hour wihtout ctd than quit and tried again and ctd's again... that was so weird like that one time my game somehow load properly
Gameplayer Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 You need "Preloader" for CrashFixes to apply its method of Memory Management as well. More than likely that is the key issue, that you don't have proper memory management going on. Next you might have a look at the FPS and well if its low its likely that your amount of scripted mods might actually be too much. If you have altered your INI files you may want to revert those to normal baseline, I find much of the suggested tweaks to be problematic at best. As far as mods go, UFO....I've never had success with and find that plain old Amazing Follower Tweaks has never let me down....Talking about the original AFT not the "updated one" If you have removed a lot of mods with scripts well you may have to start a new game...Especailly so if you change out follower mods. You could free up your Script Overhead by using NioHighHeels rather than HDTheels. Although finding Nio-Heel mods may seem tough, there are a few and I even uploaded some like UUNP conversions of Nsk13's stuff with Nio-Heels versions of the shoes. Its certainly worth not using HDTheels though even if you cant find stuff you want to use. Your Modlist, indicates that you have a few 4K Texture Packs installed. That could be a key culprit right there. I would think you would be playing with 1K or 2K at the highest. 4K is where you will need like a 980Ti with a special moniter or 4K HD TV.

Thx for answer well i had some problems with UFO and i really want to use other follower mod is it safe to uninstall UFO do i need clean save of something? And btw i back to old settings without CrashFixes and with: [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 And my game is much more stable and and tbh random ctd's almost disappear but sometimes and its actually often i getting ctd on save, its hard to explain but right now its like 70% fine,20% ctd on save,10% freeze and random ctd,my fps i fine something like 50-60 (locked at 60) One more question which mods are safe to uninstall and which not ? followers, quests(after finishing them),home, graphics etc
Gameplayer Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Mods I wouldn't remove from your load order and attempt to seriously progress in the game would be like, UFO, Devious Devices and its associated mods. Anything that modify characters like Serena....Basically everything I ever read about that NPC is troublesome so I mostly don't bother with mods altering her behaviors or anything like that. I've had quite a bit of luck here and there though using a Save Game Cleaner, but eh usually I just get to around level 30ish and find some other game to play for a while and by the time I get back I want to try something else with Skyrim. Mods you can 100% remove and add to your game without a care are basically Meshes and Textures. Its the scripted mods you have to pay attention to. Exception being Serena and again I cant remember why. In your case I would remove those 4K texture packs and replace them with 2K packs, I'm not certain if the 780Ti card can handle the 4K but it certainly might then you also need the correct moniter. Just had a thought, did you set up your own ENBlocal.ini for ENBboost? There is a conflict between setting the setting ExpandSystemMemoryx64=true and using Crash Fixes at the same time....Which would result in more crashes.... I'm not entirely certain if having it set true with SKSE memory tweak is a benefit...I would have to go look that up again.
MataHari Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Where is the bashed patch, I don't see it? A bashed patch is essential for a stable modded game like the mods you are using. Have you sorted your loadorder in LOOT?

Have you sorted your loadorder in LOOT? Yes i sorted with LOOT You mean Wrye Bash ? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/? if yes than i will try is there any instruction for MO users? Well i use ENBoost but i changed few things like: ExpandSystemMemoryX64 to false and UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics to false Well about Serana im using mod that change appearance of every vanilla follower include Serana and one mod that change only Serana appearance is it danger ? 4k.esp is 4K Parallax Treebark i will change to 2k There is a guide from UFO author how to delete his mod http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/110/images/501-1-1355700813.jpg should i uninstall it ?

Here grab the latest stable Wrye Bash 307 beta and I'm using it. No, I don't think there are instructions for MO users. But since you mention it I suggest that you install Wrye Bash and reinstall all mods then sort your loadorder in LOOT before you rebuild the bashed patch without using MO. I only say this to save you some time. Gameplayer's suggestions is a good read, so follow them is what I would do if I were you. Yes, uninstall UFO and like Gameplayer I too once tried to use UFO, but couldn't figure it out, so I started to use AFT instead and have never reget doing that.
Imperfection Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 For MO you can add Wyre Bash as exe same as you would xEdit or BodySlide and or Loot but Loot should be auto-detected. I also second MataHari's recommendation of AFT, been using for 60+ levels of game play and works pretty well.
Jappa123 Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 Thx for answer i found this it it enough? or there is something more i need to do
Jappa123 Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Damn I thought i fixed it but now its much worse than before random ctd after fast traveling, random ctd on save, random freezing, and for example after i die a my most recent save becomes corrupted and getting ctd on save. I tried save cleaner tool, loot ,bashed patch, crash fixes i will try to disable half of mods maybe all of this happening because one mod. Is there any tool that allow you to find out which mod causes ctd? ok i found this .dmp EXCEPTION_RECORD: ffffffff -- (.exr 0xffffffffffffffff) ExceptionAddress: 0060a888 (TESV+0x0020a888)ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation)ExceptionFlags: 00000000NumberParameters: 2Parameter[0]: 00000000Parameter[1]: 0000004fAttempt to read from address 0000004fPROCESS_NAME: TESV.exeERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at "0x%08lx" referenced memory at "0x%08lx". That kind of issue you got requires to stop using MO for the time being, instead of wasting more time to figure it out how the hell MO really works. Yes, there is and what you need is TES5Edit, but since you're using MO I doubt that you can find what's causing the CTD if TES5Edit is loaded from MO and not without MO. TBH, you have a messed up game and still you are using MO. Have ever thought to mod Skyrim without MO? Just try to see how stable a modded game can be without MO, if you learn how to get a modded game stable.
Gameplayer Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 I'm not sure how his issue relates to Mod Organizer or what the deal with the new "lets hate on MO" is coming from. Wyre Bash, TesVedit....All these things work fine in MO. Been using MO for getting on 3 years now.

This post suggests the opposite and TES5Edit will have exactly the same result over and over again when launching TES5Edit from MO, but have a completely different result when running TES5Edit outside of MO.

Ok I read the post, So why is it that I have not had an issue with building mods in TES5edit through MO? I have not had issues so whatever it is your trying to sell isn't a universal experience.
