olive Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 hello, here's a version for my taste in dress crowningisles student. The body is of HGEC, shoes COLORWELLS ily has some GROOF and the rest of OLIVE Edit: Corrected Mesh Paths studentdress by olive.rar
ksbonta Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 When I try to put the dress on, mine and all of the students at the school's bodies disappear. Any ideas?
ksbonta Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 I installed everything in the file provided including the textures and the one meshes file. Not sure what went wrong.
gregathit Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 I installed everything in the file provided including the textures and the one meshes file. Not sure what went wrong. You did nothing wrong. Olive has the wrong path set for all the textures in the nif file. This is a common mistake and is easy to fix with nifskope. All he (or you) have to do is open the CRTestDress01.nif up in nifskope' date=' click on the triangle next to NiNode to expand things and then for each NiTriShape again click on the triangle to expand it, then click on the NiTexturingProperty triangle to expand it. Now you will see the NiSourceTexture. You can fix this two ways: 1. click on the purple flower and browse to the correct texture. 2. double click on the file path (it is right of the purple flower) and change the path from this: [i']c:\program files\bethesda softworks\oblivion\data\textures\olivestudentdress\footfemale.dds[/i] to this: textures\olivestudentdress\footfemale.dds I recommend doing number two but the choice is yours. You will need to do this for each and every NiTriShape (9 total) and the one NiTriStrips. NOTE: There are different textures for each NiTriShape and the NiTriStrips so don't just cut and paste my example above or it will be all kinds of messed up! Just look at the path and texture name of each one as you do them so you don't mess things up. To summarize you are deleting everything in the path from the textures folder back. Enjoy
GMac2021 Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 I haven't tried the new student dress mod, so I don't know if it even works (even though it seems to fine by the screenshot he posted). I HAD been planning to set up a kiosk on Crowning Isle with an NPC that sells (very cheaply) different student dresses based on different body sizes. Mainly because I want to take a DMRA toon there but I don't want her to wear the standard dress. I'll download this mod and check it out, but - based on the reception I've received for my prior work, I doubt I'll release it. I built a shop that sells Reaper's Auto-Equip bikinis for (almost) every body version I have in my 2ch Setbody spell, and I'm currently incorporating all of Urrl's celebrity faces into a single mod that doesn't require the horrendous CM Partners or his nasty broken esps. Releasing them, though? I'm not willing to accept the grief or provide the support. All my mods have WAY too many dependancies.

[/quote'] The mesh will work fine once the texture paths are fixed per my above post. It is a nice looking outfit! No matter how detailed and clear you are about how to install it and what to do/where to get the item(s) there will always be someone that ignores your carefully crafted readme.txt and will state that your mod is broken. Keep in mind that for every one person that complains, generally there are 10-20 who appreciate your efforts but who never bother to say so. Releasing mods is just a way to give back to the community so I try to encourage folks to do what they can, when they can. Peace out! Greg
johneb Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 This outfit looks better to me than the regular school uniforms. I'll give it a go. Thanx for sharing.

This solution worked perfectly!

[/quote'] Olive, in the interest of making sure no one is confused I have taken your mesh fix and added it to your main pack in the 1st post so folks don't have to grab two files. I also fixed one other item: NiTriStrips - I changed the path from textures\olivestudentdress\footfemale.dds to textures\characters\imperial\female\footfemale.dds This change brings the mesh in line with standard protocols so that if any races other than imperials use the outfit they will have the proper skinset. Thank you for taking the time to make this outfit and posting it here! Greg

Thank you for taking the time to make this outfit and posting it here! Greg Greg thank you for this intervention I would careful next time. And it will in a few hours, I indeed use the meshe TECH "futa3" of setbody renamed "pregnancy" that is used to "spider eggs it has the advantage of having a complete body, therefore, whatever the dress that is worn, the body "pregnancy" appears automatically to deliver this meshe I would be careful at road textures. For my game personal, I added a spell, a weight of 100 for the body, attenuation of 50 in speed and attenuation of 30 points in fatigue. But I do not just create this esp because on another site I had problems, my oblivion is in French and when I generates the esp other than clothes it causes crashes in your game in English.
