Tyrant Knight Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Hello, This is my first ever Thread on LL, forgive me if Im doing something wrong here or asking the obvious for I am unfamiliar with threads, programs and what not, I've so far graciously been helped up to a certain point using Nifskope, but there's one thing left I don't know how to do or figure out, and that is Linking Textures to pasted branches of different articles of clothing being mashed into one solid sloot outfit, if anybody could tell me how or show me a video/website that does just that, I would be very thankful!!! Again, im sorry if im posting this and upsetting you guys by doing something wrong, im not that smart :c
Karna5 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I remember spending an hour or two (maybe more) across multiple sessions trying to figure that one out. Unfortunately, that was months ago, and I don't really remember the answer. I can only offer my sympathy What I do remember is I was using the wrong window in NifSkope. It turns out where I was trying to click was not the right window, and that's why it wasn't working. If it's not working for you try looking around at other windows.

Karna5 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Tyrant, I randomly opened Cross_char_outfit_f_bare.nif in NifSkope, and it looks like double clicking any of the texture and material file links in the top left and bottom left windows works fine. I also tried doing the bottom left on some 2pac stuff, and couldn't change it on 2pac (I got numbers for him instead of the ability to change the name). I wonder if the method the NIF was created has anything to do with it. It seems like some NIFs have more edit capabilities than others.
