Carabosse Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Imagine a sign with opening hours for a shop written on it. How would a shopkeeper convey hours of the day? A 24 hour clock seems too modern. Ante/Post Meridiem is Latin so I ruled that out. I searched for a lore friendly answer but found nothing satisfactory. Does anyone have any insight?
Guest Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Hi. I can only say what the game engine consider. Everything else is just not in the engine. All actors do stuff only based on "Packages". Packages can be conditioned on time (the format is 24 hours game time.) But with a big flaw: the time condition of a package is: 1) Check start time first: if OK then continue 2) Check the condition -> if false just ignore 3) Check the "elapsed time" (variable on a package) if you are still close to the limit, then execute (warning, this has some small flaws but hard to diagnose.) About "lore friendly". Game time is barely visible in game. But when it is it is in European format (0-23:59) So "lore", maybe this case is "what the game does", so just go on 24 hours. K.R.,
Carabosse Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Cute attempt to appear clever but it is entirely irrelevant to my query. Please do not derail my thread again.
Guest Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Sorry about it. So. "Sign". About everything in Skyrim starts at 6Am or 8Am (common packages.) So this may be a goo starting time. About "it is late, go home" I have no clues. Because standard packages vary a lot. Is this a consideration (not an answer, just try to give my point of view on your question) that is more relevant? P.S. I am not a 100% lore guy. I am more a "check what is done" and "do something similar" guy. K.R.,
Carabosse Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Lock/delete the topic please, I'll try elsewhere.
