Has anyone tried this mod? "Alternate Actors"

I make comics and I'm always looking for new tools to help with that.  I think I've found a potential one and I'm curious what experiences other people have had with it.

"Alternate Actors" lets you take control of other NPCs and animals and control them like you would your own character, even turning your original into a Follower.  I can see a lot of potential with this mod as a posing tool.

Say you want to pose your own character in a specific location but have trouble getting them there through normal means.  You could maybe use this mod to switch to another NPC, freeze your character and move them using Jaxonz Positioner.  I can do that easily with other NPCs but not with my own character.

That's just one example.  But I'm curious if anyone has used it in this manner already or has had any experience with it at all.  How effective is it?  Is it glitchy?  Can you use the tai command to freeze your original character while controlling another?

I haven't had a chance to test this yet so I don't know how feasible a lot of my ideas are.  Busy with stuff so I can't test it myself at the moment.  Anyone have any thoughts to share?

It doesn't work with ECE or racemenu created NPC's. So if you wanna keep playing with potatoes, go ahead.

It might work with familiar faces created npc's since the face data is also saved with the character.

Ah that's too bad. I've been thinking about a mod like this a lot over the past month and how useful it would be for certain things I would like to do. If it doesn't work with racemenu stuff, then it won't be of much help I'd think.

Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will come along and make a mod like this that works with racemenu. I was considering looking at familiar faces and how they do stuff, but I'm almost useless when it comes to papyrus scripting so I wouldn't know what's going on. I can do some simple scripts here and there, but this complex stuff is way over my head.

Maybe a work around would be making racemenu characters, then familiar face versions of them, then using this mod (if familiar faces works for it.) However, I have to finish making my characters and 3d models first...

Hmm.  I don't plan to alter anyone's appearance with it.  Just control them.  Several NPCs I already have changed thanks to the Bijin mods.  Will AA not work with them or make them glitchy?

Bijin definitely doesn't work. That's what I tried with. Supposedly familiar faces works.

Then again it's been years since I've tried the mod. Maybe it will somehow work with Bijin NPC's if the Bijin creator did something different in his updates. I know the AA author hasn't touched the mod since I tried it though.
