Question about post Dawnguard cured vampire

Long story short: I finished the Dawnguard questline as a vampire, with the idea of getting cured afterwards 'cause I didn't like being a vampire anymore. I did.

Now, obviously, the vampires at Volkihar Castle won't interact with me or give me any quest. Is there any way I can do so, despite being a non vampire character, some way they/the game would recognize me as a vampire anyway?

Or, another question would be if I can set my race to be a vampire without the fire weakness/frost resistance, the weakness to sunlight and, oist importantly, the inhability to change physical features using Racemenu. I see the ability "Vampire Vampirism" in the "specials" tab of every vampire race in the CK, and since I use a custom race I could just delete it without affecting vanilla races, but idk if this would have the desired effect of what kind of consequences it could have.

Any insight in the matter, please?

Give "Better Vampires" a try:   http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/?

Has an mcm for adjusting what strengths/weakness powers etc.  you want with vampirism.

It also has options for resetting vampirism, as well as vampire lord type stuff.

I have never tried the vampire lord reset myself, so idk if that will work with interacting with the Volkihar npc's or not.

Do you know if it allows to freely change your appearance in Racemenu despite being a vampire?

Better Vampires just deals with the technical side of being a vampire, not the appearance side.

I went through the same issue, because I didn't want my character to change too much. I wanted him to keep his looks and not go all Buffy bat face vampire.  There are ways to do it. I have a pretty good system now, but it took awhile and I still use the vampire eyes from Better Vampire Eyes and Fangs, so if you want normal eyes you will have to look into that one.

I use:

Clean Your Vampire

Vampire Ugly Face Remover (I replaced the textures with the ones I use which is Geonox Detailed with stubble. It comes with Vanilla textures, I think)

No Sunken Male Vamp Face (There is a female version somewhere I have no doubt just search for it)

Better Vampire Fangs and Eyes Non-glowing

Dynamic Vampire Appearance. (I use this ONLY to reset his textures and face map. He changes and DVA's textures are applied. I go into the MCM menu and untick eyes, textures and all the rest and he's reset to his normal face. I have tried to use the above mods without DVA's reset capabilities and the textures look wrong for me.)

This is just what works for me. There is probably an easier way. I usually go about things the hardest way possible.

Thank you, but while those mods may help with the selection of abilities/weaknesses as a Vampire, the main issue I have is with the Racemenu.

I don't have problems with my character appaerance (Ningheim race, she stays the same), but, say, if I want to change my hair using Racemenu (not sure about makeup) I can't, you can only do so -normally- with non vampire races.

So, either some way to avoid that restriction, or to be recognized as a vampire while being a normal race.

It's not a problem specific to the RaceMenu mod itself. It's something the base game has an issue with, since the "Face Sculptor" added by Dawnguard, will not let you change anything if you are a Vampire.

The issue is specific to Vampire races, though I'm not sure if this extends to modded ones. With the vanilla races, if you want to change certain details on your character, you have to switch the race to the base(i.e using SetRace NordRace in the console), make your changes, and the use the console again to switch back to the Vampire version of the race(i.e SetRace NordRaceVampire).

I think the Ningheim race does have a Vampire version of the race, which may need the RaceCompatiblity mod along with Better Vampires to work properly with Dawnguard - since using a custom race and becoming a Vampire Lord, then reverting back would make you the base version of the custom race, not the Vampire version that is should be.

Oh, I know it's not a problem with Racemenu mod, but with the racemenu itself; anyway, the problem is there.

In fact I use Ningheim with the Race Compatibility mod, and it works flawlessly with vampire races without the need of Better Vampires, Vampire Lord form won't revert back to the base race, reset stats or whatever problem.

But yeah, you pretty much can't change appaerance in the racemenu. The Ningheim vampire race works as vanilla vampire races in that regard; I wish to bypass that "restriction".
