Thehunteroftruth Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hello guys, I would like to know if there is something that must be changed in the launcher and in the ini files to get ENBs to work properly. I assume it should be the same as skyrim but i'm not really sure. Also do I need to change something in the gpu control panel? Thanks in advance for help c:
Guest Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Not that I know. As far as d3d9.dll is in the folder, it should start. If you open the launcher it will re-check your graphic performances.
SirDuke Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 You can read very often, that you should turn off Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering in game video options or in video driver control panel. And hdr must be enabled in game video options. This is no requirement, but your enb will do the same, so you can spare your memory. That should be all.

I noticed that i had to place the d3d9.dll in the exes folder and not in the root folder otherwise the enb wasn't even starting You can read very often, that you should turn off Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering in game video options or in video driver control panel. What about water displacement? i keep seeing in many installation guide that they turn it off. Also should the dof be turned off in the launcher too?

Could you consider the folder with EXEs the root of NV? anyway, without digressing in philosophy of folders, yes it goes with EXEs, exactly like in skyrim, and I think you already used ENB in skyrim. About water displacement, AA or whatever other parameter, it could be easily checked in game. There's usually very few issues with enbs, like trasparent objects, or a big cell in the middle of the screen, or "blurry" screen - they usually come from the same causes: AA, water displacement, steam overlay, invisible fix bug true.

Yes i do consider the root folder the one where the fallout.exe and fallout launcher are located. the folder where i put the d3d9.dll is called "exes", if i remember well i have that folder since i installed the fallout4gb launcher. Dang in fact i was seeing a blurred image on my screen and i can't see very well in interiors. I just hope it's not the steam overlay. Do you happen to know if you can get the achievements while the overlay is disabled?
Guest Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Then there's something evil... d3d9 should stay with the exes, in the "root", and not in a subfolder. But maybe some newer 4Gb launcher version has changed the path, can't really say. I don't think your achievements will suffer if you disable the steam overlay, it should be mainly for screenshots, but it's a very peculiar issue - I said "blurry" but I can't describe it very well, a picture describes better than 100 words. This is a tipical issue caused by steam overlay: http://i.imgur.com/ZuayFFl.jpg

I'm not getting that problem for now but it's too early to say that since i was just roaming around in the first city. I just have a grainy effect in interiors that doesn't let me see much but i think that putting those options in the launcher will most probably fix the problem
