Restarting Skyrim (again) would like to know which to use: CBBE or Sevenbase

Hi Everyone,

 

Now that I've gotten Fallout 4 out of my system, it's time for me to replay Skyrim.  So much seems to have changed with it to the point that I'm beginning to feel that I need to reinstall the entire game as all my previous play throughs involved the Sevenbase Bombshell body and it "appears" that now there isn't as much support for that body type that I'm now contemplating using a CBBE based body.

 

I've been scrolling through Sexlab and still see that CBBE appears to be a standard for most mods in terms of compatibility with the newer or updated portions of sexlab.

 

I'm just not sure if I need to change over or will the sevenbase still be fine with the newer and updated Sexlab mods.

 

With Fallout 4, it was a interesting learning experience as it was my first experience with CBBE and how outfits were made compatible for the various CBBE shapes.

 

It's been awhile, that I'm not familiar with all the UNP variants.

 

Input would be appreciated regarding the CBBE or if the mods are still good with the Sevenbase body.

It's not that there's no support for sevenbase, it's mostly turned into support for UUNP (which in turn supports ALL UNP-based bodies)

UUNP = UNP Bodyslide basically

 

The UUNP conversions has been growing extremely rapidly these past few weeks.

Bodyslide now supports UUNP, so I would recommend going UUNP (or any UNP-derived) bodies.

Yes, it's already built into the normal bodyslide, when you install it just check the Unified UUNP option as well as the CBBE if you wish.

You can have both and can produce both if you wish. Although for the sake of consistency I would pick one and stick with it.

I think you should really just check out

 

The Book of UUNP iron and steel volume 1 and 2,

 

So knowing that you can make any of these 220+ new armors fit any of the 50 derivative shapes well....From there ask yourself if using UUNP Bodyslide is a good idea.

BTW the armors for The Book cant really be gotten anywhere else...

As a member of the Devious Device team, and well for one since I made all the major devices work for UUNP, I kinda wonder at where you got the idea that all  the major Sexlab Mods only really support CBBE, since its well known that UUNP is the better option with more up to date slider sets for Devious Devices...

I'm honored that a respected member of the Devious Devices team replied to this thread.   I've began playing Skyrim with the choices of UNP, Sevenbase and CBBE bodies of which Sevenbase seems the least complicated for me to use at the time.   I've grown to sort of feel that since there wasn't much mention of Sevenbase in the Loverslab mods; UNP was getting more confusing to me over all it's variants and CBBE was mostly mentioned, I assumed that the Sevenbase body was phasing out.

I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to modding Skyrim, as it's a huge cornucopia where everything is delicious, causing a lot of trial and error with so much limitations of only 255 mods at the highest end, I had pretty much kept to the Sevenbase since I first started and kind of feel lost now.

 

Such is my dilemna *sigh*

 

Now, I'm wondering if the mod "All in One HDT Animated Pussy" would cause issues since I had installed "HDT Bounce and Jiggle UNP" as well as "BodySlide and Outfit Studio" previously *facepalms*

Well that's a lot to respond too,

 

For one, its not that Sevenbase has been phased out well not really...

I use Sevenbase Bombshell in fact,

 

Thing is I build the mods for UUNP Bodyslide, this way I can have my Sevenbase outfit but also everyone else can use whatever flavor they happen to like.

That's why UUNP has picked up, although honestly we are still a small minority, the mod base however has a great deal of support and currently Devious Devices Team only supports UUNP/CBBE Bodyslide for a major reason being that this means we support everything even if its not directly.

 

The misunderstanding is easy to make seeing as we cant expect everyone to know that UUNP means Sevenbase, UNP, UNPB, well all the 50 unp bodies are supported.

 

I cant speak for why Shocky left but seeing as he had already hard converted soo many files well perhaps he just thought it was time.

 

I'm not sure about All in One HDT AP....I don't use it, so I cant be very helpful on the topic.

If you have UUNP Bodyslide all figured out well its not too big a concern about if there are outfits available cause well UUNP has a lot of support and right now a heck of lot of really good conversions that have been done for it.  You might find that the conversions have been done better for it, but that's just what I've been told so I cant say that for certain 100%....I'm so busy working on my own mods sometimes its hard to take time to compare.
