CK and its constant error messages...

Okay, 2 things. I installed CK on my Windows 7 HDD, because on WIn10 it wouldn't even load my files.

First thing is, loading Skyrim esm results in a neat error message:

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,

clicking YES TO ALL will disable all warnings for this session

  [YES]   [NO]   [iGNORE]

a> clicking YES will just fire up the next error message until I have clicked through all millions of them

b> clicking NO will result in CK doing nothing and cancel the current attempt to load anything.

c> clicking IGNORE will result in CK loading, but eventually presenting another error message on missing textures or shaders for no reason with the same YES TO ALL advice but no YES TO ALL option to click.

So where the hell should that be? O.o (Unless IGNORE isn't the same as YES TO ALL and Bethesda is just incapable to assign the right phrase...)

Second thing is, why am I getting warnings about missing textures / shaders anyway? It's impossible to alter Skyrim.esm directly, meaning without saving the changes you did to an esp, so my Skyrim.esm is clean - and the mod I set as active file doesn't mess around with textures or shaders AT ALL.

That thing is really giving me the creeps. I want the old Oblivion CS back. At least that thing was working reliably. I really don't want to preoduce broken esp files if I try to edit them because of that stupid CK thingy. :(

Just ignore the warnings, and click "Yes to all" every time the popup appears.

(If you load just Skyrim.esm, you get it 2 times, if you load a mod, the minimum is getting it once.)

On the updated CK for Fallout 4, they got rid of the popup message, and now you have a log window with all the errors.

You can check (for Skyrim) the file editorwarnings.log, that contains all the problems reported.

And there is no way to have a game fully clean.

Buuut... there is no 'yes to all'. :(

Unless you mean I have to click yes until no error message pops up anymore. (because there are a LOT that pop up)

There's only YES, NO, and IGNORE to click. ^^

What?

I can confirm that on both Win7 and Win10, the CK shows the popup with "Yes", "No", and "Yes for All", while finishing a load of a mod.

Are you sure it is Skyrim CK?

You do need to click "Yes to all" for every type of warning, and it can get tedious when opening ESPs with a large number of dependencies. The way to avoid the warning messages in the first place is to extract the contents of the appropriate BSAs into loose files, so that CK can see them.

Yupp, looky looky!

Options actually mean YES, NO and CANCEL from left to right. :P

That explains the error messages. Thank you. ^^

This the method to 'fix' the CK having problems access resources from BSAs.  I would get constant errors messages with the CK not finding the STRING files so I extracted them from Skyrim and all DLCs.

Normally you would click "Yes To All" to block any additional error messages after the first one.  Another method to block error messages from appearing is to open SkyrimEditor.ini (located in the Skyrim folder) and locate 'bBlockMessageBoxes=0' in the [MESSAGES] section.

Change the value to '1' so that it's now 'bBlockMessageBoxes=1' and save the file.

Restart CK if you had it running when makeing the INI edit so that the change goes into effect.
