Needs more standalone high heels!

Hello, i'm new here. Created an account to ask the following~

I'm a big fan of high heels, stockings, and have noticed there's not too much choice, well for a kind of a guy like me anyway.

Could there be any standalone heels other than the mods here or skyheels/fetish heels on the nexus? For example, Vitriks' mods and stuff do have high heels but... I have yet to see much ones with stockings... so is there anyone out there that would do them?

Did someone yet do something with these?

These look amazing, but have yet to see a single mod with them.

I'm puzzled too because construction kit has been released for some time, and there still isn't a high heels mod out yet like "vipcxj's real high heels" for Oblivion. All the "heels" in Skyrim basically work by shortening the leg length. I guess it's not in high demand or something.

There is demand! My own demand is enough to crash Santa's computer! (sorry everyone no christmas this year!)

But that's not as easy. CK isn't enough for this kind of thing. It requires someone who knows how to modify skeletons and advanced SKSE functions/plugins that would allow to perform such operations in game! I would totally love a high heel system for skyrim but it won't happen until someo superheores of modding like vipcxj figure out HOW to make it happen!

Skyrim doesn't use the same script language as Oblivion? Or does it not have some "custom script" feature in the construction kit that adds scripts to items. I thought the vipcxj was just a script that elevates a character's z coordinate. I'm not a scripter but all it needs to do is to add some number to z right?

Nuh-uh it also applies a morph to the skeleton to make the thighs and calves look longer. I'm actually amazed by the complexity of it! It looks and behaves really realistically (it's only missing pain simulation xD) but to get such an effect we need the advanced scripting resources I mentioned and skeletons that can be manipulated "on the fly".

Yeah, it took how many years after Oblivion appeared for the height adjustment scripting for RHH to come out?

I'd love it too, it's just entirely dependent on clever scripters.

and scripting capabilities that would allow the scripters to implement it in the first place!

So in other words we need to pester the SKSE team about it ^^

Well, grab your pestering pike, then.

I'm so with you here. :( I've tried skyheels but it just isn't doing it for me. I love heels, stockings, and boots and I would love some more colors and styles. It's driving me crazy! Almost all my characters are using the same set of heels from the tera armor, lol. Kinda suprised there aren't more yet, especially with resources like that.

A number of the ANK armors seem to have heels of a sort, though yeah, would prefer some diff options. I like Skyheels, personally, but there can never be enough heels. :o

Strange, I thought the leg shortening wasn't an issue with FO3 and FONV, but somehow it resurfaced with Skyrim. Also I vaguely remember there being a mesh/skeleton mod for Skyrim that that extend the leg length of character.

Haha, yeah I have favorites too. What is that one you're talking about? And man, I sincerely hope a kind modder sees this thread, and would consider to make us some heels, maybe ones from the link on the front page. It's been there forever, I really don't understand!

There are a pair of elven and ebony boots with heels applied in this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4559

While the elven boots are published separately, you have to download the ebony armour to get the boot mesh from that mod. There's also a set of heeled boots intended, I think, for Nightingale armour but it is goth/punk styled and may not adapt to your choice in lore.

Would be nice to see a few more. A real heel system is likely a long way off still, the one for Oblivion was a pretty impressive piece of work.

I've been fiddling around with some Skyrim meshes lately, usually when I fed up of working on my new vegas projects.

I did look at creating some heeled versions of the standard boots, there used to be a nice set of them in Oblivion that really inspired me. Not sure if it's close to what you're looking for though. (I tried creating a stilleto version too, 2nd image, didn't look quite right :P )

Are there many modders that have still stuck with oblivion rather than moving on to skyrim? any reason why?

Probably because modding Skyrim can be reeeealy painful! You need to learn a new scripting language, the scripting language is very limited (it doesn't even have equivalents of many console commands!) and SKSE has only just started adding new functions (at the moment OBSE can do a lot more than SKSE) and additionally the game has many silly hardcoded limitations that make some things that were easy in oblivion very hard or even impossible (modders are STILL working hard to make animations more user friendly and the way they are organised makes it so not only are different mods incompatible but sometimes official updates too!)

So to make the long story short: it will be a long long time until Skyrim's modding capabilities are as powerful as previous games! I think most obivion modders haven't moved on to skyrim yet simply because Skyrim doesn't allow them to go wild with their imagination to the same extent as oblivion.

I figured as much. I heard all these limitations are because they really didn't want people making sex mods with Skyrim like they did with Oblivion. Seems a little silly to alienate the modding community with severe restrictions when said community is the strongest and most loyal fanbase they have.

1.modify the body skeleton to become taller and tilt the heel up.

2.create new heel based on the new skeleton meshes.

i am no modder but me think that 2 steps should work.

See, step 1 is a lot more complicated than you think, especially if it's going to be an adjustment applied to the model on the fly.

Well, i know it's no high heel the way you would like, but at least these boots look a bit more feminin. Remodeled Armor CBBEv3M. Just delete the rest of the armor meshes, if you don't want them, and keep the boots.

And yep, you're not alone with your wish for real high heels. Put me in that list for Santa!

I took a swing at those heels, but I'm not a modder and I can't find anyone to teach me what I would need to know, so I just kinda fumbled around with them and got them on some feet and into nifskope but I don't know how to skin them, or how to even make a skin so I'm stuck

I tried making the heels on the remodeled glass boots a little higher. It worked ok but still some clipping from the calves. Here is the result. P.S. I am still learning and have a long way to go.

Vitriks has a high heel system in his Hot Dress mod that I like. The only thing is the funny looking ankles that come with these heels. That's why a high heel mod would be sooo cool to have right about now...I demand a high heel system!!! Demand I tell you!!! :P

I would think you could change the skeleton for a high heels mod the same way the futa-race changes body types. I would think even this would be better than those terrible looking leg heels. No offense intended they're just not my cup of tea. Then again I don't use the futa mod I couldn't say what kind of negative effects it has on the game or ones character.
