Maeva's Books, Casta's Books, and Amalric's Books, oh, my!

Unplanned  update to fix a formatting error in one book- 'A Rough Trade', the first book in the Alfinde stories arc.

And, while I was in there, I added a book which is simply the quest guide article included in the package, so that, if desired, a player can refer to it in-game when performing the quests.  The book is free for the taking, at the sewer exit by the Imperial City, in the lower floor of Maeva's bookshop, near Chorrol, and just outside the entrance to the Hidden Chambers.

File is in the Downloads section

Version 2.63!!!  New update, new book, new quest!  The last book in the 'Skingrad Sisters' storyline kicks off a new quest to find the treasure mentioned in the book.  Along the way you'll meet a few of the characters from the stories, find one or two easter-egg items, and simply have some good, clean fun!  Well, the definition of 'good, clean fun' is a little different in Oblivion, but satisfaction guaranteed, or double your money back!

Find it in 'Adult Downloads'

New update: version 2.64, with minor fixes and one new book.  New books are hard to come by now-I'm almost at the bottom of the barrel for Maeva's books that I can actually publish.  Most of her residual works would violate community standards as known by Tim Curry in Transexual Transylvania.

Enjoy!

Just a brief note to say the mod isn't dead, or abandoned.  'Maeva' has given me some new books, and I want to expand the quest started by finding the key in the new area of the Hidden Rooms.  However, my computer which has my game installed, and on which I do all my modding, has had a major malfunction.  I'll get it fixed, and haven't lost anything (I think).  When I do, I will upload an updated mod.

Sorry to hear you had some computer problems, Trippy. This mod is amazing. Since I discovered it a few months ago, I've spent countless hours delving in the mysterious (and occasionally deliciously depraved) depths of Maeva's Marvelous Manuscripts. I hope you are able to resolve your computer issues and continue future releases. The Oblivion modding community has dwindled significantly over the years, and the subset of the community that is interested in "reading" in game is even smaller, no doubt. But I appreciate your efforts and your significant others' creativity.

I'm  glad you enjoy them!  I certainly do, and I have some new volumes and quest stuff to add to the mod once I get my old gaming PC working properly again.

I'd hoped to have it up again by now, but have been busy with other stuff.  I also now have another 'fan letter' to add to Maeva's private quarters in the Bookshop!

OK.  Old gaming/modding computer is back on-line.  Test update version of the Bookshop has been uploaded, nothing fancy, one new book, one new manuscript and one new 'fan letter'.  Will go through my notes and book files, and load a fatter update, hopefully soon.

OK.

So 'Maeva' reviewed the recent update to the mod.  She found a ton of formatting errors in the first half hour.

So I corrected the formatting, and updated the file with the corrected version.  (The formatting only made the text in the books and manuscript look shoddy, it didn't do anything to the game.)

Sorry 'bout that.

New books!  Good books!  Books I couldn't publish before, 'cause they were too over the top, even for Lovers Lab.

But I got 'Maeva' to revise them, dial them back a little.  Don't worry, they're still plenty nasty!  And they've been tweaked to start providing clues about that key that was lost in the picture book in the Inner Sanctum of the Hidden Rooms!

More clues to come as Maeva revises more books in the arc, and I format them for the mod.

Enjoy!

I've restored the latest version of the mod, along with the new area and some new books.  Details in the 'Welcome' books in the mod.

I was unable to duplicate the issues reported to me, and the scripts identified as the cause are not part of this mod.  I'm working on the latest quest for the mod, but it requires a new location and the prep is more work than I'd thought it would be.  Once it's done I'll release an update with the next clue book included.

Cheers! and best wishes for the New Year.
