Jormungandr Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Does somebody maybe got a link to a tutorial for creating OWN textures? All i find on google are tuts to edit existing skyrim textures, those are not really helping.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Go to YouTube, and search using - "[name of your texturing/paint program] tutorial new texture", or something similar. For example: I have the "Gimp" program. Searching "gimp tutorial new texture" turned up a ton.

What i like to learn is how to get a texture template from a mesh so that i can create an texture for it, seen some tutorials where everything is taken out of thin air and confuses the crap out of me. Youtube only shows "how to edit existing skyrim files" stuff. It's driving me nuts.

( make sure to keep a copy if you don't like your texture ) edit save where you found it 2) it's for a vanilla armor download, install, launch " fall out mod manager " tools -> BSA browser -> find your skyrim - texture.BSA search for the texture you want extract follow step for option 1 and VOILA ! best regards igora

I'm sitting on blender currently and managed to import an armor and i'm trying this UV Mapping for an hour now... trying to do it step by step with this: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/UV_Map_Basics Stuck at trying to mark a seam.. i'm doing the B+Leftclick+Drag but nothing gets marked anywhere So yeah, i'm not even near the texturing part because i'm trying to unfold the mesh into a 2d image in order to be able to do the actual texturing and it's a royal pain in the ass. Sorry for the PITA line, It's around 2 am here and i'm about to eat my coffee cup.
